Herbal Aloe Vera, The Anti Acne Natural and Potent Topical Cream With Little or No Side Effects

Herbal Aloe vera may process the potential cure of acne vulgaris without inducing any side effects, some scientists suggested.

Acne vulgaris also known as Ance is a skin disease caused by skin pores clogged up with dead skin cells and oil from the skin.

According to the general belief, acne may also be caused by dirt in oily skin pores, however, the long-term skin disease can be caused by common resident bacteria on the skin in the initiation of inflammation with each microbe possessing their own purpose.

Dr. BipulKumar, in the study "New insights into acne pathogenesis: Exploring the role of acne-associated microbial populations" wrote, "For acne progression, the microbial population has to get around the defense barriers of the host skin and be able to also resist them in order to survive" and "the different microbial populations residing in acne lesions and promoting acne by emphasizing their pathogenic mechanisms and the genes associated with virulence factors involved in the development of acne".

Truly, the other major cause is associated with the overexpression of androgens which has been found to play a pivotal role in the development of acne. 

These hormone influences are also as the results of some underlying diseases including polycystic ovarian syndrome, ovarian tumors, or adrenal hyperplasia or tumors.

Conventional medicine used to reduce symptoms and treatment may be effective. However, the use of such medicines should be taken with extreme care, as liver toxicity has been found in numbers of the case.

Aloe Vera is species of succulent plant in the genus Aloe, belonging to the Family Xanthorrhoeaceae, native to Sudan.

The herb has become very popular for commercial cultivation due to its health benefits. Aloe vera has been used in herbal medicine in treating many kinds of disease, including wound, burn healing, minor skin infections, sebaceous cysts, diabetes, and elevated of cholesterol, etc. It is also one of many popular herbs studied in scientific ways with some conflicting results.

The ten main areas of chemical constituents of Aloe vera include amino acids, anthraquinones, enzymes, minerals, vitamins, lignins, monosaccharide, polysaccharides, salicylic acid, saponins, and sterols.

In the findings of natural ingredient that can combine with conventional medicine for the treatment of ance without inducing severe side effects, compared to tretinoin (TR) cream, researchers at the Mazandaran University of Medical Science launched an investigation to examine the efficacy and safety of the combination of tretinoin (TR) cream (0.05%) and Aloe vera topical gel (50%) with TR and vehicle.

The randomized, double-blind, prospective 8-week trial included 60 subjects with mild to moderate acne vulgaris were to evaluate the inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesion scores and tolerability.

The combination of tretinoin (TR) cream (0.05%) and Aloe vera topical gel (50%) therapy showed a superior efficacy, compared to TR and placebo.

TR/Aloe vera gel (AVG) was significantly more effective in reducing non-inflammatory, inflammatory and total lesion scores than the control group.

Symptoms induced by treatment of tretinoin (TR) cream also were significantly reduced. Only scaling. less severe erythema was presented at the end of the experiment.

Furthermore, in the concerns of the side effects and efficacy of topical therapies of acne, such as benzoyl peroxide, retinoids, antibiotics with alcohol-based preparations, and salicylic acid, researchers at the University of Baroda, Vadodara launched an investigation to examine the moisturizers used combination with conventional medicine claim to be suitable for acne treatment.

Out of Fifty-two moisturizers for acne included in the analysis, most of the products (92%) have anti-inflammatory properties.

Anti-acne medications, including salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and retinol, were found respectively in 35, 10, and 8 percent of the moisturizer products containing anti-inflammatory properties.

Aloe vera is botanical anti-inflammatories processing occlusive, humectant, and emollient effects that were commonly found in this study.

Taken altogether, herbal Aloe vera may be considered a topical functional remedy or combined with conventional medicine for treatment of acne vulgaris with tolerable side effects, compared severe side effect of benzoyl peroxide, retinoids, antibiotics.
