How to Cure Impetigo Naturally With No Adverse Effects, US National Library of Medicine Studies Suggestions

Kyle J. Norton

Green tea or tea lotion may have a therapeutic and positive effect better than conventional medicine Framycetin and Cephalexin gramicidin (soframycin) in treatment of impetigo, some scientists suggested.

The disease investigation was differentiated by numbers of institutes including Baghdad University and the results of the studies were published on online literature.

You can view the abstract of studies from PubMed, by clicking any of the resources' link.

Impetigo is a skin condition caused by bacterial skin infection with symptoms of blisters and sores,
around the nose and mouth, and on the arms or legs. In some case, it may appear in the facial area.

The disease infects mostly children.

In differentiated the effect of tea lotion against impetigo infected by bacteria, researchers at the Baghdad University conducted a study with participated of a total of 104 patients, including 47 females (45.2%) and 57 males (54.8%) with ages ranged from one month to 40 years with a median of 4 years.

Patients were randomly assigned to treatment group with green tea applied to the infected areas and control group.

According to the diagnosis from the swabbed collected from patients, and analysed by microbiology impetigo contagiosa, pure S. aureus and combination of S. aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes were presented in 94.3% and 5.7% respectively in all patients.

These results suggested that  the prevalent risk of impetigo is mostly caused by infection of S. aureus.

Application tea lotion, including green tea, demonstrated a significant effect in reduced infectious areas substantially with successfully cured rate of of 81.3% in compared to control non treatment group.

In examine the 40 patients in control group further  assigned to 2 groups received either an ointment containing Framycetin or gramicidin (soframycin), researchers found that Framycetin and cephalexin gramicidin (soframycin) exerted a potential a cure rate of  only 72.2% and 78.6%, respectively.

The results suggested that tea ointment or lotion displayed a better effect in treating impetigo in compared to conventional medicine Framycetin and gramicidin (soframycin) without inducing any adverse effects.

Dr. Sharquie KE, after taking into account of other co and con founders said "(tea lotion) demonstrated the anti-bacterial action of crude tea in vivo, against impetigo contagiosa".

In further evaluation of green tea effect in reduced prevalence of skin infection, researchers at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine Rochester showed that catechins found in green tea have shown  promise for having antimicrobial effects, particular in fractions of (-)-epicatechin (EC), (-)-epicatechin-3-gallate (ECG), (-)-epigallocatechin (EGC), and (-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG).

Researchers continued, application of green tea bioactive catechin exhibited a variety of antimicrobial mechanisms and may be considered as a potential for preventive and therapeutic purposes.

In fact, relatively low concentrations of ECG was found to sensitize methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) clinical isolates to levels of oxacillin.

And, Catechin gallates such as ECG also showed to intercalate into phopsholipid bilayers, affecting both virulence and antibiotic resistance by perturbing the function of bacterial process of invasion.

The results may be attributed to green tea effect in reduced key processes associated with the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane.

However, further data collection on studies performed with human consumption during the course of infections, and studies on the occurrence of infections in populations that consume regular amounts of green tea will be necessary to complete the picture of its antimicrobial possibilities.

Adding portion of fennel to your diet daily may have a potential and positive effect in getting risk of excess water and toxins from body, some scientists suggested.

The results were reported on online medical literature conducted by some respectable institutes, including John Wiley & Sons, Ltd . and UFR Physiologie-Pharmacologie over different aspects.

Diuresis is a medicine in the stimulation of increased production of urine.

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) is a plant species of genus, belongings to Apiaceae (Umbelliferae), native to the Mediterranean, used in traditional and herbal medicine as warming, carminative, antispasmodic, antidepressant agent and to stimulate the appetite, ease indigestion, soothe coughing, reduce intestinal spasms, to regulate the menstrual cycle and relieve PMS,...

In animal model, according to the John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. in the evaluation of the retoxic effect of ydroalcohol extracts of Foeniculum vulgare var dulce (D.C) root, application of the extract exerted  significant activities in flushing out of excess water and toxin from body through increased kidney function in secretion of the urine.

The results of these properties were observed by an increase in urine flow and urinary sodium excretion.

The efficacy in cleansing body was also found linearly in dose depending manner.

Continuously, in further examine the efficacy of fennel powder, extract and oil on gentamicin induced nephrotoxicity through an study of total 35 adult female sprague Dawley rats classified into five groups with first group kept on standard diet all over the period of the experiment. and the other groups administered gentamicin (100 mg/kg/day for 7 days i.p), followed by either control (+ve) group or treated groups with fennel powder, extract and oil for 45 days, at the end of study, researchers found that
* Injected gentamicin group served as control exhibits a strong nephrotoxicity manifested by increase levels of kidney function indicator, serum nitric oxide (NO) and kidney malondialdyde (MDA) however, this group of rats also exerted a significant decrease in weight gain.

Increased expression of serum nitric oxide (NO) and kidney malondialdyde (MDA) is an indicators of severed oxidative stress caused by imbalanced of ration of ROS and antioxidants in the host.

* Gentamicin groups treated with fennel powder, extract and oil demonstrated an improve the levels of urea and uric acid in comparing to control (+ve) and displayed an improvement of antioxidant enzymes as increase of serum superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase, and glutathione transferase (GST) and decrease of serum NO in compared to control (+ve) group.

These results addressed the important antioxidant effect of fennel extracts. the applications not only inhibited the levels of free radical and theirs' chain reactive activities but also stimulated production of antioxidants found in the host tissue.

* Moreover, group treated with fennel oil restored the normal values of kidney antioxidant enzymes compared with normal group and other treatment groups.

Dr. Soheir Ahamed Al-Masri, the lead author, after taking into account of other co and con founders said, "fennel powder, extract and oil have a potent antioxidant and ameliorate in rats gentamicin induced nephrotoxicity in rats".

Clearly, fennel oil exhibited the greatest effect in stimulated kidney function in detox the body toxins through increased secretion of urine in compared to other experimental groups.

The results of this study clearly indicated that fennel powder, extract and oil have a potent antioxidant and ameliorate in rats gentamicin induced nephrotoxicity in rats. [Soheir Ahamed Al-Masri and Waffa, Sh. Ali. The Ameliorating

Interestingly, in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) treated with either water extract of Marrubium vulgare L. or Foeniculum vulgare L. in normotensive Wistar-Kyoto rats (WKY), researchers showed that application of fennel water extract reduces hypertension through Foeniculum increased water, sodium and potassium excretion in compared to non effect of Marrubium treated group.

Additionally, in compared to Marrubium extract in reduced hypertenion through inhibited contractile responses, fennel restored the normal; blood pressure by increased urine secretion and ameliorated the over expression of ROS and increased antioxidant status in the tested rats.

Surely, one can says that Foeniculum acts mainly as a diuretic and a natriuretic while Marrubium displays vascular relaxant activity.

Taken together, fennel and its extracts may be considered as a detox functional food in getting rid of body toxins through its diuretic activities.

How to Improve Vascular Function Naturally and Permanently In Prevention of Heart Disease, National Institutes of Health Studies Suggestions

Kyle J. Norton

Intake of nitrate-rich beetroot juice may have a substantial and profound effect in improved vascular function, thus reducing risk of heart disease.

Beet, best known as the beetroot or garden beet is a perennial plant with leafy stems growing to 1–2 m tall, belonging to the amaranth family.

Vascular function are bundle vascular system with function in blood circulation.

Abnormal vascular function is considered as one of the risk factor in development of heart disease.

In a total of 69 subjects recruited in this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled parallel study to examine the change in vascular function induced by intake of Nitrate-Rich Beetroot Juice, determined with the use of ultrasound flow-mediated dilatation (FMD).

The flow-mediated dilation (FMD).test, an ultrasound technique performed only by a skilled sonographer is a noninvasive assessment of vascular endothelial function through experts understanding of the physiology, analysis, and interpretation of this measurement

Intake of nitrate-rich beetroot juice displayed a significant increase in the FMD response of 1.1% in compared to placebo group of decrease of 0.3%

Nitrate-rich beetroot juice group also demonstrated a small improvement of stiffness measured by Aortic Pulse Wave Velocity and showed a trend of continuous improvement in compared to placebo.

Aortic Pulse Wave Velocity is a test to measure stiffness of the largest artery in the body, Increased stiffness will result in reduced mobility in related regions.

Result of aortic pulse wave velocity measurement is said to have an ability to identify people in their 20’s who are at increased risk for development of heart disease, stroke and dementia.

Administration of nitrate-rich beetroot juice showed a strong reduction of 7.6% of platelet-monocyte aggregates in compared to increase of 10.1% in placebo. This finding indicated that nitrate-rich beetroot juice intake had a substantial effect in decreased risk of acute myocardial infarction.

Platelet–monocyte aggregates is a novel index with platelet activation and a maker of early onset of acute myocardial infarction.

Furthermore, intake of nitrate-rich beetroot juice group expressed an exceptional improvement of vascular function in reduced P-selectin expression in activated platelet aggression

P-selectin is a cell adhesion molecule (CAM) with function in mediated the interaction of activated endothelial cells or platelets.

Additionally, application of the juice also improved the nonpathogenic, commensal bacteria present in the healthy human salivary glands measured by salivary microbiome in compared to placebo group.

Interestingly, intake of the nitrate-rich beetroot juice also responded to change of 78 bacterial taxa out of thousands harbored in human gut.

The proportions of Rothia mucilaginosa trending to increase in nitrate-rich beetroot juice group, in compared to Neisseria flavescens (P < 0.01) increased in the placebo group.

Rothia mucilaginosa, is considered part of the normal microflora of the human mouth and the upper respiratory tract.

Neisseria flavescens is an uncommon pathogen of human infection, pneumonia and empyema

There were no adverse effects of dietary nitrate were detected through out the experiment.

The finding evidences suggested that intake of nitrate-rich beetroot juice daily may have a sustainable effect in improve vascular function, thus reducing risk of heart disease.

How to Modulate Progression of Parkinson's disease (PD) Naturally and Effectively, PubMed Health Studies Explanations

Kyle J. Norton (Scholar, Master of Nutrition, All right reserved)

Green tea may be considered as a functional food and iron chelator in modulated progression of Parkinson's disease, some scientists suggested

Iron chelation therapy is a primary and standard treatment for patients with iron overload.

Green tea, is a precious drink processes numbers of health benefit known to almost everyone in Asia and Western world.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease, caused by basal ganglia degeneration in induced severe depletion of glutamatergic, dopaminergic and γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) homeostasis inputs in the striatum, resulting in over expression of iron.
Monoaminergic systems and glutamate and γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) homeostasis are vital for iron metabolism.

Investigation of the green tea (−)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) effect in risk and progression of PD has been associated to many mechanisms involved numbers of aspects.

Application of metal chelation was found to ameliorate the expression of ROS in induction of oxidative stress through a chain of reaction and precipitation of aggregation of alpha-synuclein and beta-amyloid peptides deposit in the brain, a main cause on the onset of PD.

In iron abnormality PD subjects, oxidopamine, also known as 6-hydroxydopamine or 2,4,5-trihydroxyphenethylamine(6-OHD), a neurotoxic synthetic organic compound was found to disrupt iron metabolism, leading to over expression of the iron in induction of dyshomeostasis cause of iron toxicity and oxidative damage in dopaminergic neurons.

Green tea major polyphenol, (−)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate used in metal chelation, ameliorated iron dependent free radicals located in the subcellular compartments and cellular membranes, through the effect in inhibited iron input and exhibited iron output in brain areas where it preferentially accumulates in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Parkinsons' disease.

Further analysis of the neurotoxin 6-OHDA causes of iron unstable equilibrium, green extract GECG administration improved the function of hepcidin, a liver-derived hormone in regulated iron dyshomeostasis and gene expression of the iron metabolism through expressions of iron regulatory proteins (IRP1 and IRP2) in regulated the RNA level, between the transcription and the translation of the gene in expression of the iron homeostasis.

Indeed, in the differentiation of neurotoxin 6-OHDA induced iron dyshomeostasis in increased oxidative stress in damage to neuron cells, green extract EGCG effects demonstrated a significant inhibition of free radical and iron free radical expression in the cellular membranes through the antioxidant activities and anti-inflammatory system and expression of nuclear factor-like 2(Nrf2) in stimulated production of antioxidant in protection against oxidative damage during injury and inflammation and increased production of superoxide dismutase and catalase against ROS and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) in regulated production of pro and anti inflammatory cytokines and mytokines..

By reducing the over expression of oxidative damage to neuron cells through regulation of iron related factors as mentioned above, iron chelator EGCG can counteract these adverse effects of iron overload in prevented onset of PD.

Further study of the mechanism on disruption of iron metabolism by 6-OHDA in PD cell line N27, discovered that application of the iron chelator EGCG also disrupts the iron dyshomeostasis in N27 cells (dopaminergic neural cell line) induced by 6-OHDA through regulating iron transporters and regulators expression, such as DMT1 with function in mediation of the entry of dietary iron into these mucosal cells and TfR, a carrier protein for transferrin with function in import iron into the cell and regulated response to intracellular iron concentration and hepcidin, a central regulator in maintain iron homeostasis.

Dysregulation of hepcidin production results in a variety of iron disorders.

Additionally, in 6-OHDA induced neurotoxicity to cause PD, administration of green tea EGCG also reduced the intracellular iron retention by decreasing the iron importers and increasing iron exporters, through regulation of the function of iron-regulated transporters, such as ferroportin.

Interestingly, there was a report suggested that intervention of 3 cups of green tea daily for 3 months improved the antioxidant status and reduced oxidative damage in early PD patients without affecting their iron status.

The findings revealed that green tea bioactive polyphenol, (−)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate may be considered as iron chelator in regulation of PD progression.

How to Prevent Cardiovascular Disease(CVD) Naturally and Easily, Medline Studies Showed

By Kyle J. Norton

Black or common bean may be considered as function foods in attenuated risk of Cardivascular disease, a renowned institute postulated.

Cardiovascular disease is a condition of heart attack caused by block of blood in vessel as a result of narrowing and hardening of blood vessels.

Black bean, a small roughly ovoid legumes with glossy black shells, genus Phaseolus, belongings to the family Fabaceae can be bought in most grocery stores all around the year in dried and canned forms.

It is believed that black bean was first domesticated growth in South America.

According to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, individuals who eat more bean in promoted less glycaemic stress (hyperglycaemia and hyperinsulinaemia) may have a reduced risk of CVD,

The study also addressed the importance of bean efficacy on glycaemic response and the impact of that relationship may have on the risk of developing diabetes and CVD.

In Sprague-Dawley rats model and C57Bl/6 mice induced obesity by a diet, both bean diet, groups showed a significant in reduced plasma total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol without affecting HDL-cholesterol or total TAG in short-term. And bean-fed obese mice not only induced weight loss but also improved plasma lipid profile within a 12 d time frame in compared to other groups.

The weight loss and reduced levels of blood cholesterol in tested subjects provided a significant information of bean function in ameliorated risk of cardiovascular disease.

Other in the study of risk of development of cardiovascular complications in patients with diabetes, suggested that the imbalance between reactive oxygen species and antioxidant systems in patients with types 2 diabetes may be the leading causes of heart complications involving high cardiac collagen content.

Therefor, increased intake of bean diet may play a prevalent role in reduced risk of CVD by increased total antioxidant activity and decreased the expression of hyperglycaemic state, catalase and superoxide dismutase activity and tissue damage caused by lipid peroxidation.

Dr. Oliveira RJ, the lead author said, "The phaseolamin treatment attenuated the collagen levels compared to non-treated diabetic rats. Thus, the short-term anti-hyperglycaemic effect of the phaseolamin treatment may prevent the initial changes caused by oxidative stress and the deposition of collagen, as well as reduce the incidence of heart complications".

Collectively, adding a bean portion in your diet daily may have a substantially reduced risk of heart disease and heart complications in diabetics, in comparison to people with typical American diet.

How To Treat Inflammatory Diseases Effectively and Naturally, PubMed Studies Suggestions

Arnica essential oil and major phytochemicals may have a therapeutic effect in reduced inflammation though skin penetration, some scientists suggested.

The results of these investigation were carried out by some respectable institutes, including the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg.

You can view the article as the differentiation were published on some online literature, including public medical library.

Inflamamtion is a natural reaction of immune response to protect the damage or injure tissue against foreign invasion.

However, over production of pro inflammatory cytokines may induce normal cell deaths and forming of scars.

Arnica is a herbaceous species, genus perennial, belongings to the family Asteraceae, native to Europe and Asia, used in herbal medicine for centuries to treat strains, sprains, and bruises.
Wound healing is process of repairing after damage of skin, tissues, organs, etc.

The ingredients
Helenalin, chamissonolid, Sesquiterpene lactone, lignans of the furofuran, dibenzylbutyrolactone, dibenzylbutyrolactol types, pinoresinol, epipinoresinol, phillygenin, matairesinol, nortrachelogenin, and nortracheloside, six dibenzylbutyrolactol derivative.

In inflammatory diseases, topical of Arinca preparation exerted a significantly anti inflammatory activity through skin penetration of sesquiterpene lactones (SLs) from the helenalin and 11alpha,13-dihydrohelenalin, the major bioactive compound found in the herb.

Sesquiterpene lactones (SLs) isolated from Arnica, according to a gas chromatography/mass spectrometry method in tested subjects, in investigation of penetration behaviour of one gel preparation and two ointment preparations demonstrated the comparable penetration through the stratum corneum, the uppermost part of the skin.

These results suggested that the bioactive compound induced efficacy by injecting its effectiveness through the horny outer layer of the skin in inhibited the production of anti inflammatory cytokines without ameliorating the immune response to the site of infection.

Levels of sesquiterpene lactones (SLs) was slowly decrease, 4 hours after injection in compared to penetration rate of ointments kept constant over time.

Dr. Wagner S, the lead author, after taking into account of other co and con factors said, "the totally penetrated amount of SLs only depends on the kind of the formulation and of the SLs-content in the formulation but not on the SLs composition or on the used extraction agent".

Further testing the anti inflammatory property of Sesquiterpene lactones (SLs) islated fron Arnica, researchers at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg conducted an investigation, using some alcoholic preparations of fresh Arnica flowers and an Arnica fresh plant gel.

The stripping method with adhesive tape and pig skin were used as a model to determine the quantity of SLs in the stripped layers of the stratum corneum (SC).

According to the observation, application of isolated SLs permeated through the SC in a very small amount, in compared to permeation of SLs much higher when they were present in the tinctures.

Tested Arnica preparations of fresh Arnica flowers with two preparations showed the best penetration behaviour of all the tested substances.

These conclusion suggested that all preparations reconfirm the efficacy of Arnica in attenuated over expression of inflammation induced by immune  response and some preparations consisted a better anti inflammatory effect than others.

Dr. Wagner S, the lead scientists once again said, "a sufficient amount of SLs might permeate the skin barrier by using Arnica preparations to exert anti-inflammatory effects and that the topical use of plant preparations may be advantageous compared to the isolated compounds".

Interestingly, in the analysis of SLs therapeutic relevance as single components for the local treatment of inflammation, Dr. Merfort I suggested that " SLs may be favourable in dual therapy or in the inhibition of leukaemia cell growth" and "native SLs serve as leads that have to be optimised in terms of their specificity, pharmacokinetics and absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion (=ADME) properties".

Taken together, herbal Arnica and Its bioactive compound, particularly sesquiterpene lactones (SLs) may be used alone as a topical substance or combination with conventional medicine for treatment of all forms of  inflammatory diseases.

^^^^How to Prevent and Treat Infectious Diseases Naturally and Effectively, MEDLINE Studies Suggestions

Kyle J. Norton

Including green tea as a beverage in your diet may have a therapeutic and positive effect in reduced risk and treatment of bacterial and viral infectious diseases, some scientists suggested.

The results of the analysis were carried out by numbers of institutes, including the Yonsei University and punished on online medical literature.

Green tea, is a precious drink processed numbers of health benefit known to almost everyone in Asia and Western world.

According to Review provided by VeriMed Healthcare Network. intake of green tea 2 to 4 cups per day  by steep covered 5 to 10 minutes for leaf or flowers and 10 to 20 minutes for roots was  associated to support immunity while providing antibacterial and antiviral activity.

Also, green tea (Camellia sinensis) extract of 250 to 500 mg daily, enhanced immune function due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immune effects.

Moreover, tannin, green tea derived polyphenols and other related compounds, in the study to investigate the anti-viral effects of tannins on 12 different viruses including both enveloped viruses (influenza virus H3N2, H5N3, herpes simplex virus-1, vesicular stomatitis virus, Sendai virus and Newcastle disease virus) and non-enveloped viruses (poliovirus, coxsachievirus, adenovirus, rotavirus, feline calicivirus and mouse norovirus) researchers suggested that application of tannin reduced some viral infectivity in compared to persimmon (Diospyros kaki) with more than 4-log scale against all of the viruses tested.

More importantly, the differentiation of epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) effect against viral infections also indicated that EGCG injection in solution type and powder types over extended periods at various temperature conditions exerts a strong effect in inhibited the tested human influenza A/H1N1 virus.

Green tea extract in the study also demonstrated potent viral inactivating activity for over a period of up to 2 months.

These results suggested that adding green tea supplement GTE may provide a greater than 4 log10 reduction of viral titers at a wide range of temperatures.

Dr. Lee YH, after taking intoaccount of other co and confouders said, "GTE-based antiviral agents could be formulated as a safe and environmentally friendly personal hygiene against viral infections".

The findings showed that green tea and green tea extract may be considered as function foods in reduced risk and treatment of infectious diseases caused by bacterial and viral invasion.

However, intake of green tea supplementations should be taken with extreme care as acute liver toxicity has been reported in numbers of cases.

How to Treat Lower Back Pain Efficiently and Naturally, According to Studies of MEDLINE database's Suggestion

Kyle J. Norton

Green tea and its bioactive catechin epigallocatechin 3-gallate (EGCG) may have a therapeutic and positive effect in ameliorated symptoms and treatment of chronic back pain, some scientists suggested.

Green tea is a precious drink processes numbers of health benefit known to almost everyone in Asia and Western world.

Back pain is a condition of Musculo-Skeletal disorders(MSDs) of the spine caused by various factors, including bone fractures, muscle or ligament injure, arthritis, herniated discs. aging,....

Application of biologically active polyphenol epigallocatechin 3-gallate (EGCG) demonstrated a significant effect in reduced back pain through facilitate anti inflammatory and anti-catabolic activity in patients with intervertebral disc (IVD) disease due to age-related changes in the adult disc in induction of back pain.

According to the study by the Institute for Biomechanics (D-HEST), ETH Zurich ingestion of green tea EGCG on back pain patients, human IVD cells isolated from patients undergoing surgery due to degenerative disc disease (n = 34) and cultured in 2D or 3D indicated that the phytochemical inhibited levels of inflammatory response activated by IL-1β, a cytokine protein produced by macrophages, with function in contributed to the inflammatory pain hypersensitivity in the site of infection observed by the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), western blotting, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), immunofluorescence and transcription factor assay.

Further more, application also displayed a strong effect in reduced expression of
p38 mitogen-activated protein kinases in mediated inflammatory factors of IL-1β in responded to stress stimuli.

Also, according to the Institute for Biomechanics (D-HEST), in the investigation of the analgesic properties of EGCG, by the von Frey filament test in Sprague-Dawley rats (n = 60), green tea EGCG injection also significantly inhibited the expression of pro-inflammatory mediators as expressed in above and reduced matrix metalloproteinases which have been found to associate to pro-inflammatory cytokines, chemokines and other proteins to regulate varied aspects of inflammation and immunity.

Moreover, in the radiculopathic pain component, researchers also indicated that EGCG inhibited the inflammation in precipitated back pain through modulation of the activity of IRAK-1 in glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity in skeletal muscle and p38, c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNK) and nuclear factor NF-κB in responded to stress stimuli in mediated production of pain related pro inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β.

Some researchers postulated that back pain may also induced by muscle degeneration and impairment nerve injury, leading to increased levels of reactive oxygen species in induced tissue apoptosis.

In crushing of the sciatic nerve induced back pain in tested animal, application of green tea EGCG improved motor function in the toe spread and foot positioning and gain in the percentage motor deficit.

More importantly, EGCG expressed a significant effect in recovery of sensory innervation in neuropathic pain-like syndrome and improvement of muscle tissues from injured limb with severe histopathological alterations at the end of week 3 post-surgery in treated animals.

According to the RT-PCR assay, EGCG treatment also normalizing the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, abnormal ratio of the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio has been found to associate in induction of nerve cell apoptosis as well as inhibited levels of p53 with function in regulated the cell death cycle at days 3 and 7 post-surgery.

These results demonstrated a important effect of green tea EGCG in enhanced functional recovery, protected muscle fibers from cellular death, and improved morphological recovery in skeletal muscle after nerve injuries.

However, in the study of caffeine activity in the modulation of pain perception in chronic pain states of 131 patients with chronic low back pain (64 men and 67 women; mean age = 42.1 years; mean duration of pain = 6.1 years) referred to a multidisciplinary pain clinic over a 2-year period, researchers found that in compared to caffeine intake regardless concentration, cffeine is not related to the global experience of pain and disability in patients with chronic low back pain, although high caffeine use may be embedded in a context of other unhealthy life-style behaviors.

Taken together, green tea and its bioactive component epigallocatechin 3-gallate (EGCG) may be considered as functional food in reduced back pain caused by physical damage of the spine and injured nerve cells. Intake of green tea supplement should be taken exceptional care as some cases of liver acute toxicity have been reported in medical literature.

How to Prevent Onset of Alzheimer’s disease, US National Library of Medicine Studies Suggested

By Kyle J. Norton

Coffee intake may have a positive implication in reduced risk of early onset of Alzheimer’s disease, a respectable joint study suggested.

Coffee, a popular and social beverage all over the world, particularly in the West, is a drink made from roasted bean from the Coffea plant, native to tropical Africa and Madagascar.

Alzheimer’s disease is generalized and progressive neuro degenerative disease due to aging.

In a rat model for Alzheimer’s disease (AD) induced by phosphoprotein phosphatase 2A (PP2A), eicosanoyl-5-hydroxytryptamide (EHT), researchers showed that components found in coffee exhibited a protective effect against AD, through inhibited expression of the I2(PP2A), or SET protein involved multiple cellular processes in the brains.

More importantly, oral administration of the supplement for 12 months showed a strong attenuated all the defects of cognitive impairment, including tau hyperphosphorylation, and elevated levels of cytoplasmic amyloid-β protein caused by phosphoprotein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) injection.

Dr. Basurto-Islas G, the lead author in the joint study said, ” possibility that EHT may make a substantial contribution to the apparent neuroprotective benefits associated with coffee consumption as evidenced by numerous epidemiologic studies indicating that coffee drinkers have substantially lowered risk of developing AD”.

Further more, Dr. Wierzejska R in the evaluated effects of caffeine coffee in dietary factors which might prolong mental agility, said, ” moderate coffee consumption in fact has a lower the risk for common neurodegenerative conditions, i.e. Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases” and “Possibly, in the future experts will recommend drinking coffee not only to satisfy individual taste preferences but also to decrease age-related mental deterioration.”.

Others, in the concerns of the high consumption of coffee in effect of individual’s health through evaluating database of online medical literature, researchers found that coffee-drinking habits, and/or the quantity of coffee consumption, have a significantly reduced risk of dementia/AD, and other chronic diseases, but the the underlying mechanisms are not fully understood, when comparing coffee drinkers with non-drinker.

Taking together, regular drinking of caffeine coffee in a moderated amount daily may have a positive effect in attenuated risk and progression of Alzheimer’s disease and caffeine may be considered as a novel therapy for treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.

How to Prevent Vulvar Cancer Naturally, US National Library of Medicine Studies Suggestions

Kyle J. Norton

Adding a portion of carrots in women daily diet may have a profound and positive effect in reduced risk, progression and treatment of vulvar cancer, some scientists suggested.

The investigations were conduced by numbers of respectable university in women associated to higher risk of vulvar cancers, including the Tampere University Central Hospital and Mercer University  and the results were published on online literature.

You can view the detail in abstracts of the studies by clicking any of the resources link

Vulvar cancer is a medical condition characterized by cell growth irregularly and disorderly in the tissue of the area of skin surrounded the urethra and vagina, including the clitoris and labia.

At the later stage, the cancerous cells may travel a distance away from the original site to infectious other healthy tissue.

The results of evaluation were reported by some respectable institutes and published on the online medical literature.

In the study to analyze the association between body mass, selected indicator food intake, and vulvar cancer risk of 125 women aged 80 years or younger with histologically confirmed diagnosis of invasive vulvar cancer, admitted to a network of general and teaching hospitals in the greater Milan area in compared to Control subjects of 541 patients admitted to teaching and general hospitals in Milan for acute conditions, researcher found that carrot consumption is associated to reduce risk of the cancer.

In compared to others in exerted inconsistent association of risk of vulvar cancer such as milk, meat, liver, alcohol and coffee consumption, carrot demonstrated a significantly decreased risk ratio of 1.4.

The results suggest that certain factors in the dietary and nutritional aspects may process related mechanisms in risk of vulvar cancer.

Further analysis of carrot effect in risk of vulvar cancer inregard of the micro nutrients expression, researchers found that serum concentrations of vitamin A (retinol), vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) and total carotene were lower in women with vulvar cancer but no difference to women with other types of female reproductive cancer such as cervical, endometrial and ovarian carcinomas.

In compared to healthy control, the mean levels of vitamin A was significantly less in patients with vulvar cancer.

However, according to the Mercer University, in analysis of the patients with metastasising carcinoma of the uterine cervix or recurrent disease after failure of surgical and/or radiation and chemotherapy therapy.

13-cis-retinoic acid and interferon alpha-2 a in the treatment of squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix in 6 patients with locally recurrent or metastasising squamous cell carcinomas, five of the uterine cervix, one of the vulva. in the period of 52 days, median survival time 107 days, filed the results as follows
* 3 women experienced progression of disease uninfluenced by therapy.
* 1 patient with multiple subcutaneous lymph node metastases showed mixed response for a short period of 3 weeks before progression and eventual death.
* 1 patient had no change or disease for 13 months with subsequent progression and eventual death after 22 months.
* One patient could not be evaluated for an allergic reaction after only 15 days of treatment.

The application also induced adverse effects of "flu-like symptoms", skin irritations, conjunctivitis sicca and chileitis, all WHO 1-2.

Overall toxicity is extremely low in compared to standard chemotherapy, but is not negligible.

The failure of study in treatment of advance vulvar cancer may be due to numbers of implication,  researchers at the Mercer University suggested , "this might be due to the small number of cases, which is a common problem in immunotherapeutic studies. Moreover, very unfavourable patient selection criteria in our study compared to primarily untreated patients may also have contributed to different response rates. However, in our opinion the tested regimen cannot be considered sufficiently effective in patients suffering from pretreated, recurrent squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix or vulva".

Taken together, Carrot with high amount of nutrients and antioxidants may be used as functional food in reduced risk and combined with standard therapy for treatment of vulvar cancer. However, multi centers and large sample size studies are necessary to re confirm this viability.

How to Stop Hair Loss and Improve Hair Diameter & Density Naturally, US National Library of Medicine Posted

Kyle J. Norton

Researchers may have  found ingredients for treatment of  hair loss pattern.

Supplementation with specific omega 3 & 6 and antioxidants acts efficiently against hair loss, improves hair density and reduces the telogen percentage and the proportion of miniaturized anagen hair, the Laboratoires innéov study suggested

The results of the investigation were published on online literature.

Omega-3& 6 fatty acids are phytochemincals in the class of lipids, found abundantly in dark-green leafy vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts,…

Antioxidants are substances with function in inhibited oxidation caused by reactive oxygen species.

Many antioxidants also act as free radical scavengers, such as vitamin C, D and E.

Human have to absorb Omega 3 & 6 from other sources as they do not produce them.

In the total of 120 healthy female subjects participated in this 6-month, randomized, comparative study to evaluate the change in hair density on standardized photographs primary with. secondary endpoints to include changes in telogen hair percentage and diameter distribution of anagen hair (>40 µm vs. ≤40 µm) measured by trichogram, researchers found that intake of omega 3 & 6 and antioxidants display a significant effect in reduced hair loss and promoted hair growth.

According to the photograph assessment, the application demonstrated a superior improvement in hair density.

The telogen hair percentage was significantly (P < 0.001) reduced in the supplemented group.

The proportion of nonvellus anagen hair (>40 µm) increased compared to the control group.

Trichometer index in supplemented group expressed a substantial increment of hair growth, in compared to loss in control group.

Also, according to the doctors' final photograph assessment reported, oral administration of Omega 3 & 6 supplement reduced hair loss, improved hair diameter and hair density in most of women who were assigned to treatment group.

After aking into account of other co and con founders, Dr. Le Floc’h C, the lead scientist said, “A large majority of supplemented subjects reported a reduction in hair loss (89.9% of subjects at 6 months), as well as an improvement in hair diameter (86.1%) and hair density (87.3%)”.

Truly, the study of 6-month supplementation with omega 3&6 and antioxidants no doubt expressed a significant effect in inhibited hair loss and improved hair density and reduced telogen percentage and miniaturized proportion of anagen hair.

How to Protect Yourself From Next Influenza Season Naturally and Permanently, PubMed Suggested

Kyle J. Norton

Including green tea, the Camellia sinensis leaves as a beverage in your daily diet, may have a therapeutic and positive effect in protection against influenza, some scientists suggested.

Influenza, is also known as "the flu", is an infectious disease caused by an influenza virus.

Green tea, is a precious drink processed numbers of health benefit and known to almost everyone in Asia and Western world.

In the investigated the green tea effect in reduced risk of influenza viral overspreading in general population, researchers at the Yonsei University conducted a study to evaluate catechin derivatives with different alkyl chain length and aromatic ring substitutions at the 3-hydroxyl group synthesized from epigallocatechin (EGC) and (+)-catechin (C) activity against influenza virus.

According to the experiment, application of catechin derivatives, carrying moderate chain length (7-9 carbons) exerted a pronounced effect in inhibited over expression of the virus in compared to those with aromatic rings.

Interestingly, injection of the 5'-hydroxyl group did not significantly contribute to antiviral activity against trihydroxy benzyl moiety.

However, administration of both derivatives demonstrated an inhibitory effect for all six influenza subtypes tested including three major types of currently circulating human influenza viruses (A/H1N1, A/H3N2 and B type), H2N2 and H9N2 avian influenza virus, through strongly inhibited adsorption of the viruses on red blood cell (RBC).

In vivo, the derivatives also expressed an impressive activity in restricted the growth of avian influenza virus with minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) of 5-10 microM far exceeding the dose of conventional medicine oseltamivir or M2 proton channel inhibitor amantadine with the same purposes.

Further analysis suggested that the derivatives isolated from actechin inhibited effect were attributed to the mediation and interaction with hemagglutinin (HA)/viral membrane at the initial stage of infection.

Dr. Song JM, the lead author, after taking account of all assessment said, "The broad spectrum activity against various subtypes of influenza viruses may complement the limitations of current antivirals and contribute for managing potentially emerging influenza pandemic".

Importantly, in the comparison of the theaflavins fraction (TF80%, with a purity of 80%) and three theaflavin (TF) derivatives potently inhibitory effects against influenza virus in vitro, scientists at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College indicated that all applications displayed significant inhibitory effects on the HA of three different subtypes of influenza virus strains [A/PR/8/34(H1N1), A/Sydney/5/97(H3N2) and B/Jiangsu/10/2003] with 50% inhibitory concentration (IC(50)) values ranging from 9.27 to 36.55 μg/mL, probably though expression and interaction on HA as above differentiation.

Additionally, TF derivatives inhibited the over expression of viral particle infectivity consistently and corelatively with the inhibitory effect on HA.

According to the qPCR and nuclear localization of the influenza virus vRNP assays, all applications exerted anti infectivity by interrupting the viral replication and also decreased the production of inflammatory cytokine IL-6 in induction of serious tissue injury and apoptosis.

The above evaluation were supported by the Yonsei University study of the polyphenolic compound catechins ((-)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), (-)-epicatechin gallate (ECG) and (-)-epigallocatechin (EGC)) from green tea in inhibited influenza virus replication in cell culture and for potentially direct virucidal effect.
According to the results, among all compound selected in the assessment, EGCG and ECG were found to be potent inhibitors of influenza virus replication in MDCK( in a suitable transfection host for influenza research) cell culture, including A/H1N1, A/H3N2 and B virus, observed in all influenza virus subtypes tested, with 50% effective inhibition concentration (EC50) of EGCG, ECG, and EGC for influenza A virus at doses of 22-28, 22-40 and 309-318 microM, respectively.

The effective compounds EGCG and ECG also displayed an exhibited anti hemagglutination activity, similar to those in above studies.

Moreover, in compared to the EGCG and ECG anti influenza virus efficacy, researchers surprisingly found that at high concentration, EGCG + ECG also suppressed viral RNA synthesis in MDCK cells whereas EGC failed to show similar effect and EGCG + ECG inhibited the neuraminidase activity more effectively than the ECG.

These results reaffirmed that the expression of green tea biocative polyphenols antiviral effect of catechins on influenza virus is mediated not only by specific interaction with HA, but also alter the physical properties of viral membrane, Dr. Song JM, the lead author of the study suggested.

Taken together, green tea with abundant phytochemical polyphenols may be considered as a functional food for reduced risk, progression and treatment of infleunza infection.

How to Optimize Your Immune System Against Pathogens Quickly and Permanently, PubMed Suggested

By Kyle J. Norton

Including a portion of lentil in your diet will have a profound and substantial effect in modulated immune response in acute phase of infection, some scientist suggested

Lentil is a type of pulse and tiny legumes that can be cooked quickly and rich in protein and fiber, belongings genus Lens the Fabaceae family, native to Middle East.

Immune response is a natural reaction of immune system to protect our body against invasion of foreign substances.

In acute phase of infection, immune system initiated production of of proinflammatory Th1 cytokines in activated interleukin-12 (IL-12) and gamma interferon (IFN-γ) and other pro inflammatory factors such as TNF beta in response to detect, engulf and destroy pathogens and apoptotic cells through macrophages.

These activities played an important in induced apoptosis and reduced proliferation of bacteria or virus by attaching to the surface of the injure cells to initiation of alternation. however, over production of pro inflammatory expression may indeed cause substantial adverse effects in tissue destruction, and, in some cases, shock and death.

Type 1 T helper (Th1) in response to tissue damage and injure also activated macrophages which are responsible for cell-mediated immunity and phagocyte-dependent protective activity.

In the concerns of lectins adverse effecs may pose a potential threat to consumers due to their capacity to induce histamine release from basophils, after investigating over 16 common dietary produceds containing lectins researchers found that most plant lectins induce human basophils to produce interleukin 4 (IL-4) a anti inflammatory cytokine, which plays an important role in stimulated secretion of T cells and IL-13 another cytokines works conjunction with IL-4 in promoted the expression of T helper 2 (Th2) responses and regulation of Immunoglobulin E (IgE) synthesis.

All these expressed a significant effect of dietary lectin in reduced over expression of pro inflammatory factors in immune system during acute phase of infection in induced further cell damage and death in the infectious site through secretion of anti inflammatory cytokines without decreasing the immune protective activities.

Truly, further examine also found that concanavalin A, lentil lectin, phytohemagglutinin, , triggered basophils to release IL-4 at concentrations of up to 1 ng/10(6) basophils which in turn orchestrated the release of IL-13 and histamine and levels of IL-4 and IL-13 release reached a maximum after 4-6 h and more than 18 h, after injection, , respectively.

These activities demonstrated a significant effect of lentil lectin in inducing early IL-4 required to switch the immuneresponse towards a Th2 response and type I allergy, involving immunoglobulin E (IgE)–mediated release of histamine and other mediators from mast cells and basophils.

Indeed, the relative balance between Th1 and Th2 cytokines appears crucial, as Th1 cells activated immune response during the early state of body injure or damage through evoking cell-mediated immunity and phagocyte-dependent inflammation, in stimulated production of several pro inflammatory cytokines such as interferon (IFN)-gamma, interleukin (IL)-2 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-beta which may also cause damage to the cell of the infectious region, leading to permanently additional damage to the tissues and Th2, under response to over expression of pro inflammatory cytokines stimulated the production of IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-9, IL-10, and IL-13 of anti inimflammatory mytokines in evoked strong antibody responses (including those of the IgE class) and eosinophil accumulation, and inhibited several functions of phagocytic cells as indicated above.

Taken together, Lentil lectin may have a anti inflammatory effect in reduced over expression of pro inflammatory factors in initiation of symptoms of fever, headache, swelling, redness, loss of appetite, muscle stiffness through activating production of anti inflammatory mytokines.

In the evaluation of kiwifruit in the treatment of second-degree burn wounds in rats found that the dramatic antibacterial, debridement, wound contracture, and angiogenic effect of kiwifruit induced a significant wound healing in burn ulcers and might be useful in treating chronic ulcers, such as bedsores, according to "The effect of dressing with fresh kiwifruiton burn wound healing" by Mohajeri G, Masoudpour H, Heidarpour M, Khademi EF, Ghafghazi S, Adibi S, Akbari M.(a)

[2]. Hydrogen peroxide
In the evaluation of the effects of the two main kiwifruit cultivars (gold kiwifruit (GOK) and green kiwifruit (GRK)) and their active phenolic compound, quercetin, on H2O2-induced inhibition of gap-junction intercellular communication (GJIC) in WB-F344 rat liver epithelial cells, found that the chemopreventive effect of quercetin on H2O2-mediated inhibition of ERK1/2-Cx43 signalling and GJIC may be mediated through its free radical-scavenging activity. Since the carcinogenicity of reactive oxygen species such as H2O2 is attributable to the inhibition of GJIC, GOK, GRK and quercetin may have chemopreventive potential by preventing the inhibition of GJIC, according to "Quercetin, the active phenolic component in kiwifruit, prevents hydrogen peroxide-induced inhibition of gap-junction intercellular communication" byLee DE, Shin BJ, Hur HJ, Kim JH, Kim J, Kang NJ, Kim DO, Lee CY, Lee KW, Lee HJ.(b)

[3]. Type 2 diabetes
In the investigation of six kinds of fruits tested were grapes, Asian pears, guavas, golden kiwifruit, lychees and bananas and their glycemic index found that there was no significant difference in glycemic index values between healthy and Type 2 diabetes subjects. There was also no significant difference in PII when comparing healthy subjects and subjects with Type 2 diabetes and concluded that glycemic index and peak incremental indices in healthy subjects can be approximately the same for Type 2 diabetes, according to "Glycemia and peak incremental indices of six popular fruits in Taiwan: healthy and Type 2 diabetes subjects compared" by Chen YY, Wu PC, Weng SF, Liu JF.(c)

[4]. Inflammatory bowel disease
In the observation of extracts from the fruits of yellow (Actinidia chinensis) or green-fleshed (A. deliciosa) kiwifruit and theirs effects on inflammatory bowel disease, found that the metabolism of these metabolites was affected by IL-10(-/-) -wild-type genotypic differences. Urinary metabolites previously associated with inflammation were not altered by the kiwifruitextracts. This study demonstrates the use of metabolomic analysis to study dietary effects and the influence of genotype on food metabolism, which may have implications on the development of functional foods for the treatment of IBD, according to "Metabolomic analysis reveals differences in urinary excretion of kiwifruit-derived metabolites in a mouse model of inflammatory bowel disease" by Lin HM, Edmunds SJ, Zhu S, Helsby NA, Ferguson LR, Rowan DD.(d)

[5]. Sleep disorders
In the classification of consuming 2 kiwifruits 1 hour before bedtime nightly for 4 weeks and its effect in the treatment of the sleep disorders found that kiwifruit consumption may improve sleep onset, duration, and efficiency in adults with self-reported sleep disturbances. Further investigation of the sleep-promoting properties of kiwifruit may be V, according to "Effect of kiwifruit consumption on sleep quality in adults with sleep problems" by Lin HH, Tsai PS, Fang SC, Liu JF.(e)

B. Health benefits according to concentration
[6]. Vitamin C

Besides is essential in preventing the breaking off small vein cause of hardening of the vessel wall, vitamin C also improves the digestive system in maximum absorption of vital nutrients. Overdoses can cause diarrhea, It also plays an important role in enhancing immune system fighting against the forming of free radicals that cause muscle damage, according to the study of "Does antioxidant vitamin supplementation protect against muscle damage?" by McGinley C, Shafat A, Donnelly AE., posted in PubMed (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19902983)

[7]. Dietary fiber
Daily intake of right amount of fibers can prvent and treata. Diabetes, as Increased consumption of vegetables, whole grains, and soluble and insoluble fiber is associated with improved glucose metabolism in both diabetic and nondiabetic individuals. Improvements in insulin sensitivity and glucose homeostasis were more evident in participants following a plant-based diet compared with other commonly used diets, according to the study of "Efficacy of high-fiber diets in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus" by Wolfram T, Ismail-Beigi F.(I)

[8]. Potassium
Beside is a important minerals for lymphatic function in regulating the body fluids, it is also essential in preventing the forming of kidney stone, according to the study of "Empiric use of potassium citrate reduces kidney-stone incidence with the ketogenic diet" by McNally MA, Pyzik PL, Rubenstein JE, Hamdy RF, Kossoff EH., posted in PubMed(http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19596731), researchers wrote in conclusion that Oral potassium citrate is an effective preventive supplement against kidney stones in children who receive the KD, achieving its goal of urine alkalinization. Universal supplementation is warranted.

[9]. Protein
In the research of the importance of dietary proteins influence body weight by affecting four targets for body weight regulation: satiety, thermogenesis, energy efficiency, and body composition, found that Ingestion of dietary proteins in diabetes type 1 exerts a delayed postprandial increase in blood glucose levels due to protein-induced stimulation of pancreatic glucagon secretion. Higher than minimal amounts of protein in the diet needed for nitrogen balance may play an important role for the increasing number of elderly obese subjects in our industrialized societies, since proteins exert beneficial effects in the conditions of overweight, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular risk factors, bone health, and sarcopenia. Adverse effects of increased dietary proteins have been observed in subjects with renal impairment- this problem is frequently observed in the elderly, hypertensive, and diabetic population. Nevertheless, dietary proteinsdeserve more attention than they have received in the past, according to "Dietary proteins in obesity and in diabetes" by Keller U.(II)

[10]. Vitamin K
Vitamin K not only plays an important role in protecting our skin from aging, it is also needed for the proper clotting of blood, thus decreasing the risk of excessive bleeding, in a study of "Delayed vitamin K deficiency as a cause of bleeding: still a concern in the 21st century!" by Kasatkar P, Shetty S, Ghosh K., posted in PubMed, researchers found that Laboratory tests confirmed acquired bleeding diathesis due to vitamin K deficiency, which was corrected after adequate vitamin K supplementation. VKDB is not an uncommon phenomenon and should be considered in the differential diagnosis of a child with bleeding diathesis.

[11]. Magnesium
Magnesium not only important for bone health, according to the study of "Magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese, and selenium levels in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. Can magnesium play a key role in osteoporosis?" by Odabasi E, Turan M, Aydin A, Akay C, Kutlu M(3) but also play and important role in protecting against Alzheimer's disease, according to the study of "Altered ionized magnesium levels in mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease" by Barbagallo M, Belvedere M, Di Bella G, Dominguez LJ.(IV)

C. Other health benefits
[12}. Antioxidants
Since kiwifruit contains high amount of Vitamin C, it helps to enhance the immune function in fighting against forming of free radicals, thus reducing the risk of irregular cell growth, such as tumor and cancer, according to the study of "High-dose vitamin C (ascorbic acid) therapy in the treatment of patients with advanced cancer" by Ohno S, Ohno Y, Suzuki N, Soma G, Inoue M.(1)

[13]. Flavonoids
Flavonoids are water soluble polyphenolic molecule, including quercetin which is known for its ability to reduce the risk of cadiovascular dsieases by inhiboting LDL. according to the study of "Pomegranate juice flavonoids inhibit low-density lipoprotein oxidation and cardiovascular diseases: studies in atherosclerotic mice and in humans" by Aviram M, Dornfeld L, Kaplan M, Coleman R, Gaitini D, Nitecki S, Hofman A, Rosenblat M, Volkova N, Presser D, Attias J, Hayek T, Fuhrman B.(2)

[14]. Omega 3 fatty acid and fiber
While Omega 3 fatty acid helps to balance the ratio of bad cholesterol, according to the study of " Health effects of omega-3,6,9 fatty acids: Perilla frutescens is a good example of plant oils" by Asif M. (3), fiber binds the bad cholesterol and expel them through waste, according to the study of "Guar gum and similar soluble fibers in the regulation of cholesterol metabolism: current understandings and future research priorities"
Rideout TC, Harding SV, Jones PJ, Fan MZ.(4), thus reducing the risk of bad cholesterol blocking the blood flow in blood vessels that reduce the risk of heart diseases.

[15]. Laxative effects
Fiber dissolves easily in water and passes through the intestines almost unchanged that help prevent hard, dry stools which are difficult to pass, according to the study of "A dietary fiber mixture versus lactulose in the treatment of childhood constipation: a double-blind randomized controlled trial" by Kokke FT, Scholtens PA, Alles MS, Decates TS, Fiselier TJ, Tolboom JJ, Kimpen JL, Benninga MA.(5)

[16]. Bleeding disorder
Vitamin K is important in reducing the risk of of abnormal bleeding. Vitamin K deficiency bleeding (VKDB) is a rare and potentially life-threatening bleeding disorder of early infancy, espcialy for breast feeding newborn, according to the study of "Vitamin K deficiency bleeding (VKDB) in early infancy" by Shearer MJ.(6)

II. Side effects
1. The fruits may induce allergic effects with symptoms range from mild to anaphylactic reactions(7).
2. Kiwi contains high amount of oxalates(8)
