Ingredients
1. Eupolytin 1-5
2. Octacosanol
3. Bbeta-sitosterol
4. Batyl alcohol
5. 2,4-pyrimidinedione
6. Allantoin
7. Etc.

Health Benefits
1. Antitumor effects
In the study to evaluate the antitumor and immunomodulatory of Eupolyphaga sinensis Walker ethanol extract (ESEE) in hepatocarcinoma H(22) bearing mice, found that oral administration of ESEE could inhibit tumor growth, promote Th1 type cytokine productions (TNF-α and IFN-γ) and induce apoptosis of hepatocarcinoma via increase of Bax/Bcl-2 ratio and activation of caspases-3. Oral administration of ESEE in a dosage of 6.2g/kg did not lead to toxic effects in mice(1).
2. Anti-thrombosis protein
In the study to investigate whether the insect of Eupolyphaga sinensis Walker used as traditional anti-thrombosis medicine without bleeding risk for several hundreds years in eastern countries.
showed that the current work revealed the extreme diversity of anti-thrombosis components in E. sinensis and anti-thrombosis molecular mechanisms of the traditional medicinal insect, and provided many templates for the development of new thrombolytic agents(2).
3. Inhibiting proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells
In the study of the mechanisms of inhibition of VSMCs proliferation by DHZCP with the method of Serum Pharmacology of Dahuang Zhechong pill (DHZCP), a famous and classical Chinese herbal prescription, consists of twelve traditional Chinese drugs: Eupolyphaga sinensis Walker., Rheum officinale Baill., Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi., Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch., Prunus persica Batsch., Prunus armeniaca L., Paeonia lactiflora Pall., Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch., Toxicodendron vernicifluum F.A. Barkl., Tabanus bivittatus Mats., Hirudo nipponica Whitman. and Holotrichia diomphalia Bates, shiwed that he serum of DHZCP-treated rats not only inhibited endothelin-1 (ET-1) stimulated cell proliferation and PDGF expression in VSMCs, but also promoted apoptosis of the proliferated VSMCs. Meanwhile, the serum of rats containing DHZCP interfered with the cycle of PDGF-stimulated VSMCs(3).
