The #NaturalRemedies that Detox Your Body's Organs For the #OptimalHealth, Researchers Find

Kyle J. Norton

The Western diet contains high saturated fat, trans fat, and other harmful substances such as sugar, caffeine, pesticides, and addictive substances, and less in fruits and vegetables.
These types of harmful substances are toxic.

Detoxification is a natural process of our body to maintain the proper function and protect our organs and tissues against toxicity by eliminating toxins accumulated.

When they fail, the toxic accumulations cause a disruption of hormone production, damage the body's detoxification organs and weaken the immune system, leading to hormone imbalance and many chronic illnesses consequently.

Some researchers suggested that overexpression of toxins may lead to an imbalance of the ratio of free radicals and antioxidants produced by the antioxidant enzymes of tissue, leading to oxidative stress in the induction of cytotoxicity.

Cytotoxicity not only damages healthy cells but also alternates cell DNA transcription, one of the major causes of cancer.

The natural remedies detox and nourish your Immune system, Brain, Liver, Kidney, Skin, Lungs, and Blood include

1. Garlic extract
Garlic extract is a widely used medication in the world with a proven record in preventing and treating heart disease, increasing circulation of blood flow, and protecting our kidneys and liver against injury and damage caused by ROS-inducing cytotoxicity.

According to a 2009 study by Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, the application of garlic extract in tested mice reserved liver toxicity caused by overdosing on acetaminophen in the induction of oxidative stress and depletion of the host antioxidants, such as glutathione (GSH)(1).

Dr. Anoush M, the lead scientist said, "Acetaminophen, the most commonly sold over-the-counter antipyretic analgesic, is capable of causing severe and sometimes fatal hepatic damage in humans and experimental animals".

The herb also strengthens our system's fight against the degeneration of our body.

2. Gotu Kola
Gotu Kola is also known as cetenlla asiatica with a strong effect in treating nervous system disorders caused by inflammation and improving alertness and memory.

According to the Inha University Hospital, the application of leaf extract exerted a significant activity in reduced oxidative stress induced by injection of dimethylnitrosamine‑induced liver injury in rats(2).

The results of these actions were attributed to the extract significantly decreasing the level of malondialdehyde and increasing the levels of host antioxidant enzymes, including superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, and catalase, and may have provided protection against the deleterious effects of reactive oxygen species.

In metal toxins accumulation by arsenic exposure (20 ppm in drinking water for 4 weeks) injection in tested rats, application of oral supplementation of Centella Asiatica (100, 200 or 300 mg kg(-1), orally once daily displayed a strong inhibition of delta-aminolevulinic acid dehydratase (ALAD) activity in induction of increased oxidized glutathione (GSSG) and thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) levels(3).

Overexpression of ROS can lead to liver, kidney, and brain damage permanently(3).

These results suggested that Gotu Kola antitoxins in the liver, kidney, and blood effect(13) may be considered as a co-administration during chelation therapy with a thiol chelator(3).

With enormous antioxidant properties, Gotu kola can also rejuvenate the body against the forming of free radicals in induced early aging.

3. Astragalus
Astragalus is used in traditional Chinese medicine for strengthening our body in fighting against diseases and protecting cells from free radicals through its antioxidant activity.

Herbal medicine also is an excellent agent in the fight against virus and bacteria and restore our body's energy.

According to the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology, Anhui Medical University, extract isolated from the roots of P. lactifloruala and A. membranaceus demonstrated better hepatoprotective activity in compared to the application of individual herbs used separately(4), through antioxidant activity.

Furthermore, injection in animal models suggested that astragalus saponin extracts (AS) process strong kidneys protective in diabetic rats(5). through the reduction of renal pathological changes.

4. Bee Pollen
Bee pollen is said to contain all the essential components of life.

According to traditional herbal medicine, the herb process unified activity by correcting the deficiency, rebalancing nutrition, and improving our immune system as well as rejuvenating our body.

In concerns of Cisplatin (CP), after application to patients with an aim to cure cancers although it is effective in clinics, however, it could induce toxic effects, researchers at the Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, conducted an experiment to test whether bee pollen, a natural compound, produced by honey bees has a potential inhibited expression of these toxic effects(6).

The results are so astonishing, the application of bee pollen extract (SCBPE) reversed the damage to the liver and kidney caused by Cisplatin (CP) by improving the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-apoptotic capacity of the body.

Moreover, antioxidant-rich bee pollen also demonstrated a strong preventive effect against histological changes in the liver and cardiac blood vessels, abnormalities of lipid profile, and the levels of oxidized low-density lipoproteins (ox-LDL), asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA), angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), and angiotensin II (ANG II) caused by a high-fat diet in C57BL₆ mice(7).

5. Dock
The dock contains vitamin C and vitamin A.
The herbal medicine not only promotes a strong immune system but also dissolves heavy metal accumulated in our body and prevents muscular degeneration.

According to the Xi'an Jiaotong University Health Science Center, dihydromyricetin (DHM), a bioactive flavonoid component isolated from dock against lung injury and damage caused by injection of LPS(8).

6. Reishi Mushroom
Reishi Mushroom contains ganoderic acids with function in strengthening our immune system's fight against inflammation.

In the study to evaluate the antioxidative effect of hot water extract of the mushroom Ganoderma lucidum on ethanol-induced free radical generation, researchers at the Taipei Medical University Hospital showed that injection of the extract on dose-dependently exhibited antioxidative effect on mouse liver and kidney lipid peroxidation(9).

In the final report, Dr. Shieh YH, the lead scientist said, "The hepatic and renal protective mechanism of Ganoderma lucidum, might be due at least in part to its prominent superoxide scavenging effect. Ganoderma extract could protect the liver and kidney from superoxide-induced hepatic and renal damages".

The hot water extracts also were shown to have antioxidative effects against heart and chemical toxicity(12), according to the Mackay Memorial Hospital(10).

Furthermore, the mushroom polysaccharides protect skin fibroblasts against UVB-induced photoaging(11).
