Yoga practicing may heave a positive and profound impact in reduced symptoms of autism, epidemiological studies suggested.

Autism is one of the most common forms of brain development disorder affecting one in 166 child every year in US alone. Children diagnosed with autism tend to have weak immune system and auto immune problems.

Yoga, the ancient technique practiced for harmonized external and internal body well being, through breath control, meditation, bodily movement and gesture..... has been well known for people in Western world and some parts in Asia due to health benefits reported by various respectable institutes' research and supported by health advocates.

In the study using experimental pretest-post test control group design, to investigate the effectiveness of the Get Ready to Learn (GRTL) classroom yoga program among children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) with intervention group received the manualized yoga program daily for 16 wk, and the control group engaged in their standard morning routine, researchers found that yoga group expressed significant decreases in teacher ratings of maladaptive behavior, as measured with the Aberrant Behavior Checklist, in compared to control group.

After taking account of other con founders, Dr. Koenig KP, the led author suggested that yoga intervention may have an therapeutic role in ameliorated classroom behaviors in children with Autism.

Other researchers in examine the relaxation effect of yoga in children with an autism-spectrum disorder(ASD) conducted a study of 24 children aged 3-16 years with a diagnosis of an ASD assigned to an 8-week multimodal yoga, dance, and music therapy program based on the relaxation response (RR), filed the following result
1. Children attended yoga exercise with age of 5-12-year-old children demonstrated a strong change according to Behavioral Assessment System for Children, Second Edition (BASC-2)
2, After completed the class, all children, unexpectedly displayed a enormous change in core features of autism measured by the Atypicality scale of the BASC-2.

With the finding information, researchers suggested that movement-based  involving yoga and dance may be used as an adjunct intervention in modified RR behavior, for treating behavioral and some core features of autism, particularly for latency-age children.

Interestingly, in support of the above differentiation, researchers at the Ohio State University Medical Center in the searching of the published article and studies, 23 studies and 9 work-, 11 ADL/IADL satisfied the criteria and guideline selected indicated that daily yoga therapy combined with brief exercise may be sued as a secondary integrated form of intervention to improve classroom performance and behavior and physical activities.

Taking altogether, there is no doubt that yoga intervention may benefits children of autism in both psychological and physical aspects, including work, activities of daily living (ADLs)

Yoga, a ancient technique may have a therapeutic effect on blood glucose parameters in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, a recent and renowned institute study suggested.

Diabetes is a medical condition caused by insufficient insulin entering the bloodstream to regulate the glucose, caused by cells in pancreas dying off or receptor sites clogged up by fat and cholesterol. In some cases, diabetes is also caused by allergic reactions of cells in the immune system.

Yoga, the ancient technique practiced for harmonized external and internal body well being, through breath control, meditation, bodily movement and gesture..... has been well known for people in Western world and some parts in Asia due to health benefits reported by various respectable institutes' research and supported by health advocates.

According to the joint study lead by the Yoga and Naturopathy Government Hospital, yoga participants showed an improvement on the blood glucose parameters in diabetes, through motivated  'lifestyle modification practices' including maximizing adherence to yoga should be the focus to experience any beneficial effects of yoga.

In a single group longitudinal study over 6 months sconducted at VASK yoga centre, Bangalore., researchers after taking account of other confounders suggested that patients with type 2 diabetes attending the yoga class over 6 months, showed a decreased fasting blood glucose through reduced stress.

Further more, the study qualitative data also revealed that most of the participants joined and expressed to complete the yoga programme which they belief can help cure their diabetes. Drope out of the participants is low with most reasons related travel, ill-health and increased work-load at office.

Interestingly and importantly, in the parallel, randomized controlled pilot study, 8-week yoga participants showed a decreased risk of diabetes through induced weight loss and reduced waist circumference and improved quality of life and potentially increasing psychological well-being in compared to a walking control.

Also in compared to walking group, there are  no significant difference in improvement in fasting blood glucose, postprandial blood glucose, insulin resistance or any other factors related to diabetes risk.

The efficacy of yoga in reduced risk and management of diabetes complications may be attributed the ameliorated systolic and diastolic blood pressure, total cholesterol, anxiety, depression, negative affect and perceived stress.

Other in an open label parallel three armed randomized control trial conducted among 124 recruited women with Diabetes for three months, yoga group showed a trend in decline of fasting plasma glucose and of glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA1c) with a significant decrease of diastolic blood pressure and hip circumference with 90% of women attended classes regularly.

Taking together, yoga participant with type 2 diabetes showed significantly in decreased blood glucose, through many mechanisms, including weight loss, lower blood cholesterol, improved physical and psychological aspects,..... People should ask instructors for a class tailored to their needs.

Food Therapy: Coffee and Coffee caffeine in reduced Risk of Colon Cancer

By Kyle J. Norton

Good news for coffee drinkers, coffee consumption regularly is associated to reduced risk of colon cancer, a renowned institute study suggested.

Coffee, becoming a popular and social beverage all over the world, particularly in the West, is a drink made from roasted bean from the Coffea plant, native to tropical Africa and Madagascar.

Colon Cancer is a disease characterized by irregular cell growth in the colon, with tendency in spreading to distant parts of the body, depending to the stage.

According to the Federico II University of Naples, the efficacy of coffee consumption in attenuated risk of colon may be attributed to its bioactive components, such as polyphenols, melanoidins, carbohydrates, diterpenes,....

Dr. Vitaglione P, the lead author said, " ...metabolism and composition, both coffee chlorogenic acids and dietary fiber, including melanoidins, may reduce CRC risk, increasing colon motility and antioxidant status".

However, these phytochamicals found in coffee may be different depending the amount and type of compounds ingested with the beverage, variety of coffee used, the roasting degree, the type of brewing method as well as the serving size.

Additionally, in the investigated the protective action of coffee against Caco-2 human coloncarcinoma cells. researchers filed the following results
1. Even with low concentrations, coffee (<5%) inhibited proliferation of Caco-2 cells without affecting normal cell viability.
2. . Increasing the duration of coffee bean roasting showed a significant in reduction mutative risk of in gene KRAS expression.
3 Coffee reduced risk colon cancer through suppressed miR-30c and miR-96, in promoted cell proliferation, migration and invasion and enhanced tumor growth.

Interestingly, in  the examine of the association between coffee consumption and CRC risk as well as risk by anatomic subsite among Japanese, using data from the Hospital-based Epidemiological Research Program at Aichi CancerCenter I and II (HERPACC-I and II) with subjects enrolled in HERPACC-I between 1988 and 2000 and in HERPACC-II between 2001 and 2005, scientists found that  returned self-administered questionnaire from participants, coffee consumption in reduced risk of colon cancer is associated to numbers of cup intake daily, in compared to non-drinker.

The relative odd ration of less than 1 cup/day, 1-2 cups/day and 3 or more cups/day for CRC were 0.88, 0.90 and 0.78 respectively.

Dr. Senda Nakagawa H, the lead author said, " Subsite-specific analysis revealed a significant inverse linear trend between coffee consumption and distal colon cancer (p-trend = 0.048), and a tendency toward a lower risk of rectal cancer (p-trend = 0.068)".

The finding evidences suggested that coffee and coffee caffeine may have a profound effect in reduced risk of cancer linearly.

Scientist may have found an integrated form of exercise used combined with standard treatment in alcoholism, a joint study led by the Section of Epidemiology and Public Health Intervention Research (EPHIR),ostulated.

Yoga, the ancient technique practiced for harmonized external and internal body well being, through breath control, meditation, bodily movement and gesture..... has been well known for people in Western world and some parts in Asia due to health benefits reported by various respectable institutes' research and supported by health advocates.

In a study to examine 18 alcohol dependent patients randomizedly received either treatment as usual or treatment as usual plus yoga taken at baseline with six months follow-up for testing the effect of yoga therapy in reduced alcohol dependent, researchers filed the following results, after 10 weeks
1. Yoga was found to be a feasible and well accepted adjunct treatment for alcohol dependence
2. Yoga + conventional treatment showed a reduction in alcohol consumption from 6.32 to 3.36 drinks per day in compared to other group
After taking account to other risk factors, researchers said, "Larger studies are needed to adequately assess the efficacy and long-term effectiveness of yoga as an adjunct treatment for alcohol dependence".

Other, in the study to evaluate the effect of a yoga intervention on alcohol and drug abuse behaviors in women with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) through analyzed data from a pilot randomized controlled trial in comparing a 12-session yoga intervention and control of women age 18 to 65 years with PTSD, researchers found that
1. Yoga intervention at the end of period expressed a significantly lower mean score of Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT) in compared to control
2. Yoga group also demonstrated a reduction in symptoms and improved symptom management. in most participants
3. Yoga participants expressed interesting in psychological treatment

The findings suggested that yoga may play a role in attenuating the symptoms of PTSD, reducing risk of alcohol dependent and promoting interest in evidence-based psychotherapy.

More importantly, in the reviews the philosophical origins, current scientific evidence, and clinical promise of yoga and mindfulness as complementary therapies for addiction, researchers at the joint study led by the Manipal University, said, " theoretical models suggest that the skills, insights, and self-awareness learned through yoga and mindfulness practice can target multiple psychological, neural, physiological, and behavioral processes implicated in addiction and relapse".

Further analysis, researchers concerned, "the clinical effectiveness and hypothesized mechanisms of action underlying mindfulness-based interventions for treating addiction" and "..very few studies have been conducted on the specific role of yoga in treating or preventing addiction".

Taking altogether, yoga intervention may play an important role used  conjunction with standard therapy in treating alcoholism.

Food Therapy: Coffee Intake In Reduced Risk and Progression of Liver Diseases

By Kyle J. Norton

Coffee intake regularly may have a profound effect on development and progression of liver disease, a recent study suggested.
Coffee, a popular and social beverage all over the world, particularly in the West, is a drink made from roasted bean from the Coffea plant, native to tropical Africa and Madagascar.

Liver disease is a class of conditions, including, irrhosis, or scarring of the liver, inflammatory viral liver disease.....

According to the joint study led by the Fortis Escorts Liver and Digestive Diseases, coffee consumption showed a strong effect in reduced risk of liver diseases caused by Hepatitis B and C, as well as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and alcoholic liver disease.

Among coffee drinkers and non drinker, in take of 2 cups or more of coffee attenuated risk  of fibrosis and cirrhosis in patients diagnosed with precondition of liver disease.

Furthermore, regular intake of coffee also demonstrated a significant decreased incidence of liver disease in high risk people, caused by altered liver enzymes (ALT, AST, and GGTP).

In a follow up study of 766 participants of the Hepatitis C Antiviral entered a Long-Term Treatment against Cirrhosis (HALT-C) trial with hepatitis C-related bridging fibrosis or cirrhosis on liver biopsy and failed to achieve a sustained virological response to peginterferon plus ribavirin treatment, researchers found that higher coffee consumption showed a significant in reduced progression of liver disease expressed with a  relative risk ratio of 1.11 (0.76-1.61) for less than 1 cup/day; 0.70 (0.48-1.02) for 1 to fewer than 3 cups/day; and 0.47 (0.27-0.85) for 3 or more cups/day (P-trend = 0.0003) in compared to non drinkers.

Regular coffee consumption was associated with lower rates of disease progression also reported a large prospective study in participants with advanced hepatitis C-related liver disease.

More importantly, the retrospective cross-sectional study on patients different ltypes of liver disease, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), hepatitis C virus (HCV), and hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, postulated that  drinking over 2 cups of coffee per day showed a lower liver stiffness in compared to non drinking group.

Interestingly, the effect of coffee in reduced stiffness may also contribute to less risk of fibrosis and inflammation, independent of disease state.

Taking together, there is no doubt that coffee intake may have a potential effect in reduced risk and progression of liver disease, depending to the numbers of cup of coffee consumption per day.

People who participated in yoga class are less likely to develop heart disease as yoga is found to normalize blood pressure in hypertension, one of the con founders, a renowned study suggested.

Hypertension is a condition of abnormal high blood pressure  and considered as one of main cause of heart diseases.

Yoga, the ancient technique practice for harmonized external and internal body well being, through breath control, meditation, bodily movement and gesture..... has been well known for people in Western world and some parts in Asia due to health benefits reported by various respectable institutes' research and supported by health advocates.

According to the joint study led by the Uttarakhand Ayurved University, yoga was the best form of physical exercise in reduced risk hypertension through increased blood flow to the brain and reduced stress impacted to the brain calming effects.

In a total of 64 participants (age 53.6 ± 13.1 years) (experimental group), with the result in comparison of control group of 26 healthy volunteers, in 1-month yoga practice, yoga group displayed a astonished improvement in decreased BMI (26.4 ± 2.5-25.22 ± 2.4), systolic BP (136.9 ± 22.18 mmHg to 133 ± 21.38 mmHg), and diastolic BP (84.7 ± 6.5 mmHg to 82.34 ± 7.6 mmHg). in compared to control.

Promisingly, Dr.Chauhan A, the lead author said, " yoga practice has potential to control BMI and BP without taking any medication".

Additionally, in the review of literature published between 1946 and 2014 from periodicals indexed in Ovid Medline, EMBASE, CINAHL, PsycINFO, KoreaMed, and NDSL with keywords: "hypertension," "blood pressure," "psychotherapy," "relaxation therapy," "meditation," "yoga," and "mind-body therapy." , researchers at the joint study led by the Soonchunhyang University, indicated that participants attended yoga class expressed a significant decrease both systolic and diastolic BP, in compared to the baseline.

In compared to meditation students, the study suggested, "meditation played a noticeable role in decreasing the BP of subjects older than 60 years of age, whereas yoga seemed to contribute to the decrease of subjects aged less than 60 years".

Even with the amazing result in both meditation and yoga group, Dr. Park SH, the led author concerned, "While acknowledging the limitations of this research due to the differences in BP and the participants' ages, meditation and yoga are demonstrated to be effective alternatives to pharmacotherapy. Given that BP decreased with the use of meditation and yoga, and this effect varied in different age groups, scientifically measured outcomes indicate that these practices are safe alternatives in some cases".

In support to the above differentiation, the Lund University, filed a 191 patients (mean age 64.7 years, s.d. 8.4) allocated to yoga intervention (n=96) and control group (n=95), with a total proportion of 52% women, multi-centre randomized controlled trial with follow-up after 12-week yoga intervention completion, involved yoga's impact on blood pressure (BP) and quality of life (QOL) and on stress, depression and anxiety in patients with hypertension, participants in yoga intervention showed a significant reduction in systolic and diastolic BP for both groups (-3.8/-1.7 mm Hg for yoga and -4.5/-3.0 mm Hg for control groups, respectively). and improvements in some of the QOL and depression measures (P<0.05, Hospital Anxiety and Depression scale, HADS-D) compared with control.

Taking together, strong evidences suggested that yoga practice not only reduced risk and prevent early onset of hypertension but also improved stress and quality of life in participants.

Food Therapy: Coffee and Coffee Caffeine in Attenuated Risk and Treatment of Dermatitis

By Kyle J. Norton

Good news for coffee lovers, recent study suggested that coffee consumption daily and regularly has a substantial effect in reduced risk and treatment of dermatitis.

Dermatis is a condition of irritation of the skin characterized by symptoms of red, swollen, and sore, sometimes with small blisters on the skin.
Coffee, becoming a popular and social beverage all over the world, particular in the West, is a drink made from roasted bean from the Coffea plant, native to tropical Africa and Madagascar.

The animal study with skin of C57BL/6j male mice irradiated with UVB (1.0 kJ/m2/day) for 3 days and 5 days after the final session of UVB irradiation with oral administration of coffee at of CA (100 mg/day) or CGA (100 mg/day), 2 major chemical compound isolated from roasted coffee in separated group for the 8 days, suggested that group treated with caffeic acid (CA) showed a significant effect in inhibition of dermatitis in compared to chlorogenic acid (CGA) group.

In fact, the efficacy of coffee caffeine acid in protect the skin against irritation was attributed to the influence of the chemical compound in a protein related to skin inflammation, namely, the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway.

Other, in the examined hypothesis of 9763 adults 19 years or older using the 2012-2013 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey of 4 dietary patterns including fermented foods using principal component analysis on data obtained from a 116-item validated semiquantitative food, after analyzing the returned frequency questionnaires researchers showed that coffee intake displayed a significant reduced risk of atopic dermatitis.

Together with chocolate, and ice cream the relative risk odd ratio was 0.53 in compared to other group observed in the study.

Further to support of the result of coffee intake in deceased risk of skin irritation, the Chinese study postulated that coffee intake , the beverage intake of the population of in 17,497 adults in the 2009-2011 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) expressed a significantly profound effect in reduced dermatitis prevalence, after adjusting for potential con founders with incorporation of sample weights for the complex sample design.

Taking together, one can certain to mention that coffee and coffee caffeine in take, regardless amount have therapeutic effects in ameliorated risk and treatment of dermatitis.
