Too much coffee caffeine may have a profound and negative effect in increased risk of headache.

Coffee, second to green tea, is a popular and social beverage all over the world, particularly in the West, made from roasted bean from the Coffea plant, native to tropical Africa and Madagascar.

2. Dietary and medicinal caffeine consumption were associated to modest risk factor for chronic daily headache onset, regardless of types of  headache.

Some researchers suggested that with all the finding evidences, coffee consumption associated to caffeine content may have a negative effect in approximately one quarter of the reported prevalence of headache and  other conditions such as palpitations, tremor, and insomnia.

Taking altogether, there is no doubt that intake of high coffee caffeine daily and regularly may have an increased risk of early headaches onset and headaches frequency.

Food Therapy: Habitual Coffee Intake in Reduced Risk of Mortality after Heart Attack

Coffee intake by myocardial infarction patients showed a significant reduced rate of mortality, a renowned institute study postulated.

Myocardial infarction is another term of heart attack.

Coffee, a popular and social beverage all over the world, particularly in the West, is a drink made from roasted bean from the Coffea plant, native to tropical Africa and Madagascar.

In a study of 4365 Dutch patients from the Alpha Omega Cohort, aged 60-80 y (21% female) and experienced an MI <10 y before study enrollment, using baseline (2002-2006), to evaluate the dietary data including coffee consumption over the past month collected and 203-item validated food-frequency questionnaire, after examine the returned questionnaire from participants, researchers indicated that
1. Most of patients(96%) were coffee drinkers
2. Intake of coffee >4 cups/d, regularly and daily expressed a inverse association to risk of mortality in compared to 0-2 cups/d.
3. Motility risk after myocardial infarction (MI) was decreased for every cup of additional coffee intake

Interesting, researchers also found out that there were no risk difference between caffeine and decaffeinated coffee.

These findings suggested that the efficacy of  reduced risk of mortality of MI patients may be associated to chemical constituents in coffee, other than caffeine.

Additionally, in the review of literature in the data base of MEDLINE and Embase published between 1946 and 2015, 2 eligible studies iinvolved-AMI mortality risk against coffee consumption with a total of 3271 patients and 604 died, in patients classified as light coffee drinkers (1-2 cups/day) versus noncoffee drinkers, heavy coffee drinkers (a>2 cups/day) versus noncoffee drinkers and heavy coffee drinkers versus light coffee drinkers, scientists filed the following results
1. All groups showed a significant reduction in risk ratio in compared to non drinkers.
2. The hazard risk ratio was 0.79 in light coffee drinkers versus noncoffee drinkers.
3. The risk ratio of 0.54 was found in Heavy coffee drinkers versus noncoffee drinkers and
4. Heavy coffee drinkers versus light coffee drinkers were associated with a risk ratio of 0.69 

Although there was no linear association of amount of coffee intake in risk of MI morality, coffee intake expressed a strong effect against risk of death in patients after heart attack.

Most important, even though habitual coffee consumption exerted a enormous effect in reduced risk
coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and stroke as well as reduced risks of mortality, but most of the data on coffee's health effects are based on observational examine with very few randomized, controlled studies, and association does not prove causation, therefore while addressing the possible advantages of regular coffee consumption, researchers must also take into account of potential, risk such as anxiety, insomnia, tremulousness, and palpitations.

After considering all other factors, the study strongly insisted, "Spent coffee grounds (SCG), rich in dietary fiber can be fermented by colon microbiota producing short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) with the ability to prevent inflammation".

Other, more importantly, in the examined numbers of prospective and retrospective cohort studies, coffee consumption against relative risk of developing major depressive disorder in humans, Caffeine and phytochemicals such as chlorogenic acid, ferulic acid and caffeic acid, all important constituents of coffee, showed to attenuated risk of pedression through mediated inflammation, in vitro and in vivo.

Alternative Therapy: Yoga Intervention in Reduced Symptoms and Treatment of Osteoarthritis

Yoga intervention may be used as integrated form of exercise in reduced symptoms and treatment in patients of osteoarthritis, the renowned study suggested.

Osteoarthritis (OA), a form of arthritis, is a condition of aging causes of wear and tear on a joint, affecting over 25 million people in the United States.

Yoga, the ancient technique practice for harmonized external and internal body well being, through breath control, meditation, bodily movement and gesture..... has been well known for people in Western world and some parts in Asia due to health benefits reported by various respectable institutes' research and supported by health advocates.

In a study of total of 36 participants (mean age 72 years) randomly assigned to 8-week yoga program involving group and home-based sessions or wait-list control, researchers filed the following resultos in compared to control
1. At 8 weeks of the class, yoga participants expressed a significant improvement of pain (adjusted PPB (repeated chair stands)
2. According to the McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index, from 4 to 20 weeks, yoga group showed a reduced total score of pain but improved physical function.
3. Yoga group also experienced in improved sleep disturbance
4. There were change of BMI and QOL in the group.

After taking into account of other risk factors, Dr. Cheung C, the led author said, " A weekly yoga program with home practice is feasible, acceptable, and safe for older women with knee OA, and shows therapeutic benefits".

Other, in the study of measured  pain and physical and psychological functioning effects in patients randomly assigned either to yoga intervention group or attention control group, researchers found that yoga intervention expressed a greater improvement in depression and quality of life in the yoga group in compared to control group.

Explicitly, in support to the above studies, the community-dwelling older adults (N = 131) randomly assigned to chair yoga (n = 66) or HEP (n = 65)(Thirteen dropped after assignment but prior to the intervention; six dropped during the intervention; 106 of 112 completed at least 12 of 16 sessions) , during 8 weeks of yoga class, measurement of pain, pain interference; secondary: balance, gait speed, fatigue, functional ability in compared to baseline, researchers indicated that
1. Yoga group demonstrated a significant improvement in pain interference during the intervention
2. Yoga group also experienced a greater reduced pain and and fatigue, improved gait speed during the intervention
3. There were no significant improvement sustained post intervention, particularly in balance.

Dr. Park J, the led author said, " An 8-week chair yoga program was associated with reduction in pain, pain interference, and fatigue, and improvement in gait speed, but only the effects on pain interference were sustained 3 months post intervention".

The information collected expressed a substantiated yoga therapy in reduced symptoms of osteoarthritis in an 8 weeks study without mentioning the long term effects.

Taking together, Yoga therapy may have a strong effect in reduced symptoms and management in patents with osteoarthritis, but a long term and large sample cohost study are need to comfirm this validation.

According to the study of 40 females (age range 22-55 years, average age 34.7 +/- 8.49 years) enrolled in a yoga camp and given a standardized questionnaire named Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) before and after the 12 weeks session of yoga indicated that
1. Yoga intervention demonstrated substantially improved sexual functions scores in all six domains of FSFI assay (i.e., desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction, and pain).
2. Also in this group, The improvement was more in older women (age > 45 years) in compared with younger women (age < 45 years)

Interestingly, in support of the above differentiation, researchers at the The Catholic University of Korea, conduced a randomized, controlled study of 41 women with metabolic syndrome (age 30-60 years) assigned to a 12-week yoga exercise group (n=20) or a wait-listed control group (n=21) suggested that
1. Yoga therapy displayed a significant improvement in arousal and lubrication in compared to the control group.
2. Yoga also showed an improvement of systolic blood pressure yoga group than in the control group at the 12-week follow up

Dr. Kim HN, the led author said, " yoga may be an effective treatment for sexual dysfunction in women with metabolic syndrome as well as for metabolic risk factors".

Additionally, in the study of 60 Iranian women with multiple sclerosis (MS) placed in two equally divided control and case groups through random selection to assess pre-and post-effects of yoga exercises on their physical activities and sexual satisfaction levels, researchers at the joint study led by the Yasuj University of Medical Sciences, found that
1. Women participated into yoga class expressed a significant statistical difference in physical activity and sexual satisfaction levels in compared to control

Insulin resistance is a condition characterized by lowered level of insulin  response to level of glucose (sugar) in the body.

In a study of the effect of coffee against insulin resistance of Male C57BL/6N mice (N = 48) divided into six dietary groups: chow diet, HFD, HFD-supplemented with 0.1%, 0.3%, and 0.9% decaffeinated green coffee bean extract, researchers found that treatment of the minimum dose 0.3%.of green coffee bean extract showed a mostly significant effect in improved insulin levels caused by HFD- diet.

Further more, decaffeinated green coffee bean extract in the study also expressed reversely fat accumulation and insulin resistance caused by HFD diet by downregulating the genes involved in adipogenesis and inflammation in fat tissues involved insulin resistance.

Other, in the testing of bioactive substances in coffee in expression of acutely and/or chronically increase insulin secretion from β-cells and improvement of insulin sensitivity in skeletal muscle cells, measurement of insulin secretion after Insulin secretion at acute (1-h) and long-term (72-h) incubation, the bioactive substances from coffee exerted the following results
1. Bioactive compound isolated from coffee at 10(-8) and 10(-6) M acutely increased insulin secretion by 12% and 16% respectively.
2. Long-term exposure to cafestol at 10(-10) and 10(-8) M increased insulin secretion by 34% and 68%,
respectively.
3. Caffeic acid, another compound isolated from coffee also increased insulin secretion acutely and chronically.

In support to the above analysis, the antidiabetic effects of coffee and caffeine on high-fat-diet-induced impaired glucose tolerance in C57BL/6J mice. C57BL/6J mice fed a high-fat diet given regular drinking water (control group), or a 2.5-fold-diluted coffee or caffeine solution (200 mg/L) for 17 weeks. indicated that group treated with injection of coffee caffeine strongly improve glucose tolerance, insulin sensitivity, and hyperinsulinemia in compared with mice in the control group.

And coffee and caffeine exerted an ameliorative effect on high-fat-diet-induced impaired glucose tolerance through reduced inflammatory expression in gene and cytokins in improving insulin sensitivity.

Taking together, coffee  may have a potential capability in reduced risk of Insulin Resistance and early onset of diabetes through attenuated insulin resistance by bioactive compounds such as cafestol and caffeic aciid
