In compared to herbal medicine; food therapy even takes longer to ease symptoms, depending to stage of the treatment which directly address to the cause of disease.

Inflammation is a natural response of immune system in protect our body against injure and damage induced infection.

Black bean, a small roughly ovoid legume with glossy black shells, genus Phaseolus, belongings to the family Fabaceae can be bought in most grocery stores all around the year in dried and canned forms. It is believed that black bean was first domesticated growth in South America.

Black or common bean with abundant phytochemicals may be considered as function foods in attenuated pro inflammatory expression induced by immunity during injured, a respectable institute postulated.

In a randomized, controlled, crossover trial of 12 adults with metabolic syndrome (MetS) consumed one of three meals (black bean (BB), fiber matched (FM), and antioxidant capacity matched (AM)) study, researchers found that blood sample collection before (fasting) and five hours after the meal, black bean intake group showed a significant expression of plasma antioxidant capacity and inflammatory cytokins in response to meals differences over time.

This result showed a strong support of black bean intake reduced levels oxidative stress induced inflammation and enhanced production of antioxidants.

Dr. Reverri EJ the lead researcher said, " Inclusion of black beans with a typical Western-style meal attenuates postprandial insulin and moderately enhances postprandial antioxidant endpoints".

In other word, adding portion of black bean may improve insulin resistance and induced anti oxidant activity to modify the risk and treatment of inflammatory metabolic syndrome.

On colon inflammation triggered by high-fat diet (HD)-induced obesity in mice, miced fed with black bean showed a remarkable effect in reduced pro inflammatory expression such as such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-1β, and IL-6, by attenuating changes associated with HD-induced colon inflammation.

Additionally, black bean fed mice also demonstrated a significant improvement of antioxidant through modulated colon mRNA expression and reduced macrophage infiltration into adipose tissue, causing inflammation.

Further more, Dr. the lead author expressed, " BAB ameliorates HD-induced disorders such as obesity and colitis by improving mucosal barrier protection and reducing endotoxemia, as well as by inactivating NF-κB to decrease the production of proinflammatory cytokines".

Other study in support to the efficacy of black bean in ameliorated inflammation suggested that bean diets reduced not only mRNA expression of exhibited production of colonic inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, IL-9, IFN-γ and IL-17A) and increased anti-inflammatory IL-10 (P< 0·05),but also systemically reduced circulating cytokines (IL-1β, TNFα, IFNγ, and IL-17A, P< 0·05) and dextran sodium sulphate-induced oxidative stress and colitis in animal model.

The finnings suggested that black bean may be used as function food for prevention of inflammation after body injure or damage by reduced levels of pro inflammatory and increased levels of anti inflammatory mytokins.

Food therapy: Coffee and Coffee Caffeine in Attenuated Risk of Liver Fibrosis

By Kyle J. Norton

Coffee intake daily and regularly may have a potential impact in reduced risk of hepatic fibrosis during recovery of liver injured, a renowned institute study suggested.

Coffee, second to tea, is a popular and social beverage all over the world, particular in the West,  made from roasted bean from the Coffea plant, native to tropical Africa and Madagascar.

Hepatic fibrosis is profusely and abnormally recovery of wound healing, causing excessive connective tissues build up in the liver.

In a experiment model of induced Liver injury by 28-day of chronic bile duct ligation (BDL) in male Wistar rats with conventional coffee, decaffeinated coffee, or caffeine administered daily, researchers at the joint study reported the following results
1. In compared to conventional coffee, caffeine expressed a significant suppression of most of the changes produced by BDL, particularly in antifibrotic effects
2. All types of coffee displays an elevated antioxidant properties in restored redox equilibrium, thus preventing the elevation of liver enzymes and hepatic glycogen depletion
3. Caffeinated coffee and caffeine exhibited a reduced in increased collagen

In fact, the efficacy of coffee and caffeine in ameliorated risk of liver fibrosis may be attributed to phytochemical compounds in increased antioxidant status and decreased over expression of pro inflammatory cytokins as well as regulating protein in over production of collagen.

Other, in support of the above analysis, researchers in the study to evaluate the antifibrotic properties of coffee in in male Wistar rats with liver damage induced by repeated administration of thioacetamide (TAA).  Oral administration of conventional caffeinated coffee or decaffeinated coffee (CC, DC, respectively) for 8 weeks reported the following results
1. Intake of coffee showed a significant effect in suppression of most of the damage produced by TAA in rat liver
2. Coffee reduced expression of on going experimental cirrhosis by blocking the elevation of the profibrogenic cytokine TGF-β and its downstream effector CTGF in induction of inflammation through increased antioxidant status, regardless to types of coffee and numbers of cup intake per day.

Dr. Arauz J, the lead researcher said, " Various components of coffee that have been related to such a favorable effec(in reduced risk of hepatic fibrosis) include caffeine, coffee oils kahweol, cafestol and antioxidant substances".

Interestingly, the Biophysics and Neuroscience cInfectomics and Molecular Pathogenesis study also reconfirmed that effect of coffee and coffee caffeine in attenuated risk of liver fibrosis were resulted from the following demonstrations
1. Caffeine prevents elevation of liver enzymes in reduced liver tissues damage and over expression of collagen in the rats treated with TAA plus.
2. Caffeine elevated antioxidant properties by restoring the redox equilibrium through reduced lipid peroxidation and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) levels
3. Reduced proinflammatory initiation.

Taking altogether, coffee and coffee caffeine regardless numbers of cup intake per day illustrated a significant effect in ameliorated risk and progression of  hepatic fibrosis.

By Kyle J. Norton

People who turn to alternative medicine for treatment of disease in avoidance of adverse effects induced by conventional medicine should be patient. In compared to herbal medicine; food therapy even takes longer than six months to ease symptoms, depending to stages of the treatment which directly address to the cause of disease.

Intake of black(common) bean and other common bean may associate to reduced  risk and treatment of various type of cancers, a study of renowned institute study suggested.

Cancer is a class of chronic condition characterized by the irregular cell growth in the body organs. Sometime, the cancer cells can spread to other tissues or organs depending to stages of cancer..

Black bean, a small roughly ovoid legume with glossy black shells, genus Phaseolus, belongings to the family Fabaceae can be bought in most grocery stores all around the year in dried and canned forms. It is believed that black bean was first domesticated growth in South America.

Fermentation product of soybean, black bean, and green bean mixture (BN999), showed a significant effect in inhibited the growth of human breast cancer AU565 cells and prostate adenocarcinoma PC-3 cells without harming the normal human cells.

The study also found that in syngenic BALB/c mice, the mixture(BN999) inhibited the growth of mouse CT-26 colon cancer xenografts, without causing adverse effects.

Further more, BN999, also induced cancer cell death in other mechanisms, such as activated the protein gene involved pro cancer cell apoptosis via cell mediatory activities, including a network of membranous anatomical structure and double membrane-bound organelle.in energy conversion.

Additionally, according the joint study lead by the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, the efficacy of common bean in attenuated cancer risk factors as shown in animal models and  in cell cultures. may also be attributed to other parameters of non-digested compounds like fiber, phenolics, peptides and phytochemicals.

In fact, black (common) bean whole and non-digestible fraction also exhibited anti-proliferative activity and induced apoptosis in vitro and in vivo against colon cancer.

Dr. Rocio Campos-Vega lead author in the joint study also raised the important role of bean fiber and protein of the bean in ameliorated cancer risks, said, " the potential health benefits and bioactivity of beans on tumor inhibition, highlighting studies involving functional compounds, mainly non-digestible fractions that modulate genes and proteins, thereby, unraveling their preventive role against the development of cancer".

Other researchers in evaluation of phytochemicals of black bean against various types of cancers showed that flavonoids and saponins isolated from black bean exerted a strong antioxidant capacity and antiproliferative activity against numbers of cancer cell lines in concentration depend manner.

The study also insisted that depending to days of germination, total phenolic content extracted from seed coats at the 3 days exhibited the strongest effect in inhibited all cancer cell lines proliferation with no cytotoxicity against control cells.

Specifically, chemical compound genistein showed most effective against mammary cancer cells in compared to more related with hepatic and colon cancers in flavonols and saponins.

The findings suggested that black bean may be considered as functional food as well as integrated form of injection for reduced risk and treatment of various types of malignant tumors

Food Therapy: Coffee and Coffee Caffeine in Inhibition of Genotoxicity

By Kyle J. Norton

Coffee and coffee caffeine may have a profound and positive effect in reduced risk of genotoxicity, caused by environment toxins, a coffee production company opinionated.

Coffee, a popular and social beverage all over the world, particular in the West, is a drink made from roasted bean from the Coffea plant, native to tropical Africa and Madagascar.

In rat liver and primary hepatocytes, regular intake of coffee daily illustrated a enormous effect in cellular antioxidant defenses through regulating exhibited enzymes involved mRNA and protein expression.

The study also suggested that coffee and coffee caffeine through expression of detoxifying enzymes GSTs and AKR(in cellular detoxification) also demonstrated a significant activity in reduced risk of genotoxicity and cytotoxicity caused by injection of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1).

Dr. Cavin C, ther lead author said, " the coffee-mediated stimulation of the Nrf2-ARE pathway resulting in increased endogenous defense mechanisms against electrophilic but also oxidative insults further support that coffee may be associated with a protection against various types of chemical stresses".
(Please note that Nrf2-ARE pathway is an indicator and modulator of oxidative stress)

Other, in the evaluated L5178Y mouse lymphoma cell line to assess modulatory effects of coffee against genotoxicity induced by N-methyl-N-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG), researchers found that
1. 3 doses of instant coffee caffeine injection displayed a decrease in genotoxicity following co-treatment of mouse lymphoma cells.
2. Coffee caffeine pre-treatment or co-treatment exhibited significant antigenotoxic effects against MNNG(an environmental carcinogen that causes DNA mutation) expression.
3. Both caffeinated and decaffeinated instant coffee demonstrated a similar effect against genotoxicity in the experiment samples.

Dr. Abraham SK, the lead authors said, " Results from three or five independent experiments demonstrated significant protective effects of caffeinated instant coffee against MNNG-induced DNA damage in the comet assay, mutation at the Tk locus and chromosomal damage in the cytokinesis-block micronucleus test".

In support of the above analysis, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), in the study of  protective effects of coffee against somatic mutation and mitotic recombination induced by chemo drugs, cyclophosphamide (CPH)(, mitomycin C (MMC) and urethane (URE), using standard (ST) and high bioactivation (HB) crosses of the wing spot test in Drosophila melanogaster assays, suggested that in dose depending, coffee injection showed a strong effect in the genotoxicity of URE in the ST and the genetically susceptible HB cross as well as the genotoxicity caused by MMC application.

Dr. Abraham SK, the lead researcher said, "The magnitude of the protective effects of coffee against these three genotoxins was independent of the genotype of the larvae used for treatment, that is it was independent of the bioactivation capacity of these larvae".

The collective information showed a definitive support in used of coffee and coffee caffeine as functional food in reduced risk against genotoxic expression, including side effects of chemo medicine used in treatment of multi types of cancers.

People who turn to alternative medicine for treatment of disease in avoidance of adverse effects induced by conventional medicine should be patient. In compared to herbal medicine; food therapy even takes longer  to ease symptoms, depending to stages of the treatment which directly address to the cause of disease.

Hyperglyctemia is a condition of abnormal high blood glucose presented in the blood stream.

Black bean, a small roughly ovoid legumes with glossy black shells, genus Phaseolus, belongings to the family Fabaceae can be bought in most grocery stores all around the year in dried and canned forms. It is believed that black bean was first domesticated growth in South America.

Black or common bean with abundant fiber may be considered as function foods in reduced risk of hyperglyctemia, the early onset of diabetes, a renowned institute postulated.

In high-fat diet-induced glucose-intolerant obese C57BL/6J mice, black adzuki bean (BAB) extract injection showed an improved function of pancreatic β cells in inhibiting tolerance of the high glucose-induced glucotoxicity at concentration of 0.2 mg/mL.
The dietary supplementation BAB extract also expressed significantly (P < .05) improved hyperglycemia and homeostasis model, using insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR).

Furthermore, mice fed with the extract also stimulated genes expression in regulated glucose metabolism and insulin response.

Dr. Kim M, the lead researcher said, "BAB extract ameliorates hyperglycemia and glucose intolerance, and lowers HOMA-IR (assessment)  by regulating insulin secretion and response, and by maintaining the integrity of pancreatic β cells exposed to hyperglycemic conditions".

Additionally, in the investigated possible protective effects of black bean peel extract (BBPE), pomegranate peel extract (PPE) and a combination of the two (PPE + BBPE) on streptozotocin-induced DM mice, researchers at the Xuzhou Medical College, indicated that black bean fed mice showed a different degrees, in decreased blood glucose, increased insulin secretion, pancreas weight index, and antioxidative activity.

Dr. Wang JY, the lead author said, "PPE and BBPE, particularly the combination of the two, have the ability to ameliorate hyperglycemia by inhibiting oxidative stress-induced pancreatic damage".

The results of these experiments not only displayed the positive and effects of black bean in reduced hyperglyctemia risk regardless types of preparation but also addressed the important issue in contribution of higher outcome in risk control.

Promisingly, in compared glycemic response of bean and rice in traditional meals and rice alone in adults with type 2 diabetes of 17 men and women, group injection of traditional meal showed lower a postprandial net glucose values in contrast to the rice control at 90, 120 and 150 minutes.

Collectively, black bean may be used as a functional food in ameliorated risk  and treatment of hyperglyctemia, thus reducing risk of early onset of diabetes.

Epidemiological studies, linking intake of coffee in related to risk of psoriasis have been inconclusive and contradictory.
Coffee, a popular and social beverage all over the world, particular in the West, is a drink made from roasted bean from the Coffea plant, native to tropical Africa and Madagascar.

Psoriasis is a condition of skin disease caused by autoimmunity with symptoms of red, itchy, scaly patches.

According to the Tel-Aviv University, Tel-Aviv, eventhough coffee consumption have linked to reduced risk of skin disease, but coffee intake showed no significant association to risk of psoriasis.

In the study of 43 patients with various forms of psoriasis (excluding pustular and erythrodermic psoriasis)selected and answered a questionnaire about their eating habits in the first visit, with special attention to the consumption of several products, researchers found that intake of coffee accompanied with black tea, chocolate, yerba mate, pepper,... showed reduced scaling and erythema, milder outbreaks during the year and improved quality of life in 88% of patients.

Unfortunately, 11.63% (5 patients) did not notice any effects on the skin

These result demonstrated that beside receiving proper scientific advice, education of patients in chosen of better eating habits and suspended use of alcoholic drinks and tobacco.are necessary for improvement quality of life, in injunction with use of medicine therapy.

Dr. Festugato M said," Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory systemic disease,....(and) As a systemic disease, which shares the same pathophysiological substrate with other comorbidities, diet also leads to worsening of comorbidities".

Other in the study of a total of 82 539 participants free of psoriasis in 1991 included from the Nurses' Health Study (NHS) II7 and observed until 2005, with incidence of psoriasis ascertained by self-report on questionnaires in inquired about the clinician-diagnosed psoriasis and the date of diagnosis, researchers after analyzed the returned questionnaires showed that
1. Risk of psoriasis are moderately elevated with increasing coffee consumption in the age-adjusted model.
2. Intake of decaffeinated coffee implied no insignificant risk of psoriasis
3. Risk of psoriasis increased linearly was also observed with higher caffeine intake in the age-adjusted model.

But after adjusting to smoking status, researchers indicated that The association became null after adjustment for smoking.

Dr. Wenqing Li, the led author said, "Smoking appears to be the major confounder underlying the observed significant association between coffee and caffeine intake and risk of psoriasis in age-adjusted models".

Taking altogether, there is no doubt, coffee and coffee caffeine do not have any implication in elevated risk of psoriasis excepted long term smokers.

Food Therapy: Black Bean reduced Risk and Treatment of Hypercholesterol

By Kyle J. Norton

People who turn to alternative medicine for treatment of disease in avoidance of adverse effects induced by conventional medicine should be patient. In compared to herbal medicine; food therapy sometimes takes longer than six months to ease symptoms, depending to stages of the treatment which directly address to the cause of disease.

Included a portion of black bean in your diet may have a potential impact in reduced levels of high blood cholesterol, a renowned institute study proposed.

Hypercholesterol is a medical syndrome of abnormal high blood cholesterol in the blood stream. In most cases, it is a result of prolong period intake of saturated and trans fat.

Black bean, a small roughly ovoid legumes with glossy black shells, genus Phaseolus, belongings to the family Fabaceae can be bought in most grocery stores all around the year in dried and canned forms. It is believed that black bean was first domesticated growth in South America.

According to joint study lead by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, black bean peptides (-7.2 to -7.0kcal/mol) after injection showed a significant disrupt interactions between NPC1L1,(essential for intestinal sterol absorption) and membrane proteins (regulate.Cholesterol contains) in cholesterol absorption.

The efficacy of black bean peptides in reduced levels of cholesterol in the blood stream may be attributed to the binding cholesterol receptor Niemann-Pick C1 Like- ability in cholesterol transport, found on the gastrointestinal tract epithelial cells.

In compared primary rat hepatocytes and C57BL/6 mice study, methanol extract of black bean seed coats, exhibited anti hypercholesterol activity, by significantly reduced the expression of SREBP1c, involved glucose metabolism and fatty acid and lipid production, and FAS and HMGCR, involved inflammation and stimulated the expression of the reverse cholesterol transporters.

The result in reduced hypercholeterol level also was observed in the decrease in hepatic lipid depots and significant increase in bile acid secretion with some portion of lipids used for energy generation.

Dr. Chavez-Santoscoy RA, the lead author said, "the extract of black bean seed coats may decrease hepatic lipogenesis and stimulate cholesterol excretion, in part, via bile acid synthesis".

Additionally, other researchers also in the study of black bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) seed coats extracts, expressed the similar effect in reduced risk of high blood cholesterol but with phytochemicals mechanism.

Dr. the lead author said, "Contrary to the flavonoid content, saponins were correlated to the inhibitory effect of cholesterol micelle(lipid molecules) solubility as an approach to a potential reduction of cholesterol absorption".

Indeed, the high concentration of saponin in the extract showed a significant activity against cholesterol expression in fed mice,

Taking together, black bean with an effect in interrupt cholesterol absorption through peptides in the intestinal tract and anti hypercholesterol chemical constituents may be used as potential and therapeutic food in reduced early onset and treatment of hyperlipidemia.
