During the last stage of the menstrual cycle, normally a layer of endometriosis lining on the inside of the uterus is expelled, known as menstruation blood, instead some of the endometriosis tissues grow somewhere in the body to cause endometriosis. Endometriosis also react to hormone signals of the monthly menstrual cycle, by building and breaking up tissues and eliminating them through menstrual period.

Olive is belongs to the the family Oleaceae, native to the coastal areas of the eastern Mediterranean Basin and south end of the Caspian Sea. Its fruit, is also called the olive and the source of olive oil.

Olive Oil: Fat Contains
1. Saturated fats
a. Palmitic acid
b. Stearic acid
c. Arachidic acid
d. ehenic acid
e. Myristic acid
f. Lignoceric acid
2. Unsaturated fat3. Monounsaturated fats
a. Oleic acid
b. Palmitoleic acid
4. Polyunsaturated fats
a. Linoleic acid
b. Linolenic acid

The effects
1. Circulation system
Olive oil containing high amounts of fatty acid, such as arachidonic acid inhibits the levels of bad cholesterol in the blood stream(2) resulting in increasing the blood circulation in the body including the abdomen that lessons the risk of over active uterine muscle(3)(4)(5) and menstrual pain(6).

2. Essential fatty acids
Essential fatty acids, including arachidonic acid  in the olive oil beside helping liver in metabolism of protein and fat, it also regulates the endometrial tissue during the menstrual cycle(1).

3. Essential oil
Essential oil made from olive is said to reduce the pain(10) in the abdomen. By placing a few drops of essential olive oil on the abdomen and gently massage until the oil is completely absorbed into the skin will help the muscle of the abdominal to relax, thus reducing pain(11).

4. Vitamin K
Vitamin K in olive oil is essential for coagulation during menstruation(12). Women with endometriosis with heavy flow are found to have vitamin K deficiency(13).

5. Immune system(8)
Since it helps in liver metabolism of carbohydrate, it improves the energy levels in the levels thereby increasing the immune system(7) in fighting against forming of free radicals as well as endometrial implants and adhesion(9).

6. Iron
It also contains iron that is vital for production of red blood cells(14) and increases the levels of oxygen(15) for the body cell need. Without enough iron, it increases tension of the nervous system such as dizziness, fatigue, headaches, loss of concentration and memory(18), anxiety(16)(17), depression(17) and other emotional disorders(16).

Black pepper helps to increase the blood circulation in the blood thereby it increases the blood flow to the abdominal region resulting in lessening the menstrual pain(6).
