Collard Greens Process Thrombolytic Activity

By Kyle J. Norton

Platelet aggregation is a condition characterized by platelets clumping together in the blood. The process also is necessary for the recovery of vascular injury. However, overexpression of platelet counts in the blood is problematic to human health.

In other words, the production of blood platelets is to protect tissue injury against infection.
Furthermore, platelet disorders can lead to abnormal bleeding. Most common types of the genetic proposition of platelet disorders including

* Disorder of platelet adhesion, also known as Bernard-Soulier Syndrome is a condition in which the platelets fail to adhere together, leading to frequent bruises, nose bleeds and bleeding in the mouth and gums.

* Disorder of platelet aggregation also known as Glanzmann Thrombasthenia is a condition that the platelets not only fail to cover at the site of an injury but also prolong the bleeding.

* Disorder of platelet secretion is a condition that causes the slows down normal platelet adhesion, aggregation, and repair of the blood vessel.

* Disorder of platelets procoagulant activity, also know as Scott Syndrome is a condition in which the platelets fail to promote activation of the blood clotting proteins.

Conventionally, certain medications with blood-thinning activity such as aspirin (ASA) and other drugs containing aspirin non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and some antibiotics may have a strong implication of the formation of platelets coagulation.

Dr. Wolberg AS in the examination of fibrinolysis in the changes on the local concentrations of pro- and anti-coagulants and cellular activities may affect the clot-forming wrote, "patterns of abnormal thrombin generation produce clots with altered fibrin structure and that these changes are associated with an increased risk of bleeding or thrombosis".

These results strongly outline the importance of fibrin in the formation of a blood clot in the presence of thrombin that converts fibrinogen to fibrin.

Collard Green is a species of Brassica Oleracea, belongings to the family Brassicaceae with unknown origin. Today, the plant is cultivated commercially for its thick, slightly bitter edible leaves.

On finding a potential plant that process thrombolytic activity researchers compared the effects of
the clot lysis effect of the crude extracts and fractions of five Bangladeshi plant viz., Trema Orientalis L., Bacopa monnieri L., Capsicum frutescens L., Brassica oleracea L. and Urena sinuata L.
The study was conducted in vitro thrombolytic model with streptokinase as a positive control and water as a negative control.

Family of Brassica oleracea showed a range of clot lysis activity of 30.24 ± 0.95% compared to 46.44 ± 2.44% in T. Orientalis, 48.39 ± 10.12% in B. monnieri, 36.87 ± .27% in C. frutescens, and 47.89 ± 6.83% in U. sinuata, compared with positive control on standard streptokinase (80.77 ± 1.12%) and negative control on sterile distilled water (5.69 ± 3.09%).

Low-value clot lysis activity of the Family of Brassica oleracea was found associated with a lack of bio-active components and/or insufficient quantities in the extract.

According to the clot lysis results, chloroform soluble phytochemicals from these plants were found to contribute to the activity of thrombolysis.

Therefore, chloroform soluble phytochemicals isolated from these plants including the Family of Brassica oleracea may be incorporated as a thrombolytic agent for the improvement of the patients suffering from atherothrombotic diseases.

Taken altogether, collard green consists of chloroform soluble phytochemicals that may be considered a functional food for the prevention and treatment of atherothrombotic diseases, pending to the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Herbal Ashwagandha, the Anti Male Infertility Functional Remedy

By Kyle J. Norton

Fertility is a natural process to ensure the survival of human species. Through natural selection, we produce many offsprings when the reproductive system works at its peak in a suitable environment.

In other words, female fertility is the ability of women to conceive a biological child before menopause compared to male fertility which generally relies on the quantity and quality of the sperms.

But regardless of all factors, most women are capable of conceiving during their menstrual cycle before reaching the stage of menopause.

Infertility is a condition characterized by the inability of a couple to conceive after 12 months of unprotected sexual intercourse or can not carry the pregnancy to term.

The condition affects over 5 millions couples alone in the U. S. and many times more in the world. Because of unawareness of treatments, only 10% seek help from a professional specialist.

Male infertility is a medical condition associated with the male's inability to cause pregnancy in a fertile female.

Male infertility accounts for 40–50% of all cases of infertility, affecting over 7% of all men.
Most cases of male infertility are the results of deficiencies in the semen, and semen quality that lead to reduced function of male fecundity.

The exact causes of male infertility are not identified. However, abnormal sperm production or function due to genetic defects, and medical conditions such as diabetes, or infectious diseases such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, mumps are some of the prevalent factors that are involved in the increased risk of male infertility.

Believe it or not, stress caused by a number of health problems, including heart disease, asthma, obesity, and depression may lead to reduce sperm and semen quality in male fertility.

Dr. Nargund VH said, "Psychological stress can be defined as any uncomfortable 'emotional experience' accompanied by predictable biochemical, physiological and behavioral changes or responses. Many clinical studies looking at the effects of psychological stress on male fertility have shown that stress is associated with reduced paternity and abnormal semen parameters".

And, "psychological stress could severely affect spermatogenesis, mainly as a result of varying testosterone secretion. The hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis has a direct inhibitory action on the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis and Leydig cells in the testes. The newly discovered hormone, gonadotropin-inhibitory hormone (GnIH), also has an inhibitory effect on the HPG axis. Inhibition of the HPG axis results in a fall in testosterone levels, which causes changes in Sertoli cells and the blood-testis barrier, leading to the arrest of spermatogenesis".

Ashwagandha also is known as Withania somnifera is a nightshade plant in the genus of Withania, belonging to the family Solanaceae, native to the dry parts of India, North Africa, Middle East, and the Mediterranean. The herbal medicine has been considered as Indian ginseng and used in Ayurvedic medicine over 3000 years to treat tumors and tubercular glands, carbuncles, memory loss, and ulcers and considered as anti-stress, cognition-facilitating, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging herbal medicine.

On finding a potential compound for the improvement of male fertility, researchers examined the efficacy and safety of W. somnifera treatment in infertile men.

The evidence-based systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted by searching the database of medical literature PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, Scopus, the Cochrane Library, and DHARA. Grey literature was assessed from the WHO International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (http://apps.who.int/trialsearch/) and the US National Institutes of Health (https://clinicaltrials.gov/).

According to the the 4 clinical trials (comprising 5 publications: observational, n = 4; randomized controlled trial [RCT], n = 1) only one RCT were included in the analysis, W. somnifera treatment significantly improved semen parameters including semen volume: mean difference [MD], 0.28  ml; sperm concentration: MD, 13.57 million/ml; sperm motility: MD, 8.50%

Furthermore, W. somnifera administration also improve the fertility rate in normozoospermic men by 14%

Moreover, according to the results of meta-analysis, W. somnifera treatment also exerted a significant improvement in serum hormonal profile, oxidative biomarkers and antioxidant vitamins in seminal plasma.

No adverse effects were reported during the study.

In other words, W. somnifera enhances all parameters associated with sperm integrity and viability in the promotion of conception without inducing any side effects.

Based on the findings, researchers after taking other factors into account wrote, "Due to a small number of eligible studies, the available data, though promising, are too limited to provide novel and sufficiently robust evidence of the benefits of W. somnifera in male infertility. Additional RCTs of high quality with a larger sample size are warranted to further strength clinical use of W. somnifera in treating male factor infertility".

Taken altogether, Ashwagandha may be considered a remedy for the treatment of male infertility, pending to the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Lycopene Inhibits Asthma-COPD Overlap Syndrome (ACOS)

By Kyle J. Norton

Lung protection is an action in which substances, including herbal remedies, are used to protect the lung against injury or damage.

The lungs are a pair of organs located on either side of the chest (thorax) with a function to bring fresh oxygen into the body and remove the carbon dioxide and other waste gases from the body.

According to the statistics provided by the Lung Association over 3 million Canadians are affected by one of five serious respiratory diseases – asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer, tuberculosis (TB), and cystic fibrosis.

In 2017, 28,600 Canadians were diagnosed with lung cancer, represented 14% of all new cancer cases. Lung cancer caused the death of 21,100 Canadians in the same year.

The exact causes of lung disease are not identified. However, epidemiological studies suggested
being overweight, smoking, family history, smoking are some of the most prevalent factors associated with the onset of the disease.

Most common lung diseases in North America including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and cystic fibrosis.

Asthma is a medical and chronic condition characterized by the long-term inflammation of the airways of the lungs.

Most common symptoms of asthma are episodes of wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath, and reversible airflow obstruction and bronchospasm.

Asthma attack in most cases is triggered by exposure to various irritants and substances that trigger allergies (allergens). However, genetic preposition and family history are also found in patients with asthma.

Asthma not only interferes with daily activities and also can lead to a life-threatening asthma attack. Treatment of asthma is to reduce the frequent episode and severity of the attacks.

According to the statistics provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in the US, 1 in 13 people have asthma. In other words, over 26 million Americans have asthma and half of that is children.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a type of lung disease associated with long-term breathing problems and poor airflow, leading to shortness of breath and cough with sputum production.

COPD is a progressive disease and the third leading cause of death in the United State. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), the third leading cause of death in the US.

Lycopene is a phytochemical found in tomato in the class of carotenoid, a natural pigment with no vitamin A activity found abundantly in tomatoes and other red fruits and vegetables, such as red carrots, watermelons, and papayas,

Tomatoes provide about 80% of the lycopene in the world diet. In plants, lycopene protects the host against excessive photodamage and performs various functions in photosynthesis.

On finding a potential compound for the treatment of asthma researchers examined the effects of ascorbic acid (AA), carotenoids (lutein, zeaxanthin, β-cryptoxanthin, α-carotene, β-carotene, and lycopene), retinol and α-tocopherol levels in patients with allergic asthma compared to healthy elderly in Japanese.

Based on the tested analysis, comapred to other phytochemicals, plasma AA level was significantly lower in of allergic asthma subjects than that of healthy elderly people.

Levels of plasma lycopene and total carotenoid levels and levels of antioxidant enzymes such as GSH content produced the host was significantly lower in COPD subjects comapred to those of healthy elderly people.

However, levels of plasma lycopene and total carotenoid levels showed no effects in the redox markers such as GSSG, GSH/GSSG ratio associated with the oxidative stress in the lung tissues.

In other words, there is no difference between the redox markers such as GSSG, GSH/GSSG ratio in both groups.

Furthermore, lycopene and total carotenoid levels did not lower the marker of the levels of urinary 8-OHdG detected between ACOS and BA subjects compared to healthy elderly people.

Increased the levels of lycopene and total carotenoid levels in the body do not have a significant impact in reducing the risk of ACOS and BA

Based on the findings, researchers said, "COPD of Japanese patients may develop partly because of oxidative stress derived from a shortage of antioxidant nutrients, especially of AA and lycopene as well as GSH while this may not be the case in both ACOS and BA.".

Taken altogether, lycopene found in tomato may not be considered a remedy for the prevention of overlap syndrome (ACOS) and/or bronchial asthma (BA), pending on the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Intake of lycopene in the form of supplements should be taken with extreme care to prevent overdose acute liver toxicity.

Herbal Ashwagandha Modulates the Immune Response

By Kyle J. Norton

The immunomodulatory effect is a process in which the immune function is modulated to the needs of the body.

The immune system included the thymus and bone marrow, as well as secondary lymphatic tissues including spleen, tonsils, lymph vessels, lymph nodes, adenoids, skin, and liver, is the body's defense against infectious organisms and foreign invaders.

The immune dysfunction can be classified into
* The underactive immune system is also known as the weakened immune system. People with the underactive immune system are susceptible to infection, recurrent infections.

* The overactive immune system is also known as autoimmune diseases. In this case, patients suffer diseases associated with the immune system that attacks the body tissues.

In the acute phase of infection, the immune macrophages, the first line of defense stimulates the production of blood palette to cover the wound or injury and pro-inflammatory cytokines to the site of infection to kill off pathogens before they can enter the body to multiply.

Most cases of infection are stopped at the acute phase, depending on the size and penetration of the wound.

Most common symptoms of acute inflammation occurred with a short period of time such as hours is a pain, redness, immobility, swelling, and heat.

Conventionally, depending on the types of acute inflammation, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may be prescribed to alleviate the pain by counteracting an enzyme that contributes to inflammation.

However, if the immune system for whatever reason such as in people with a weakened immune system can not destroy the foreign invaders in the set period of time (3-8 weeks), it will adapt to the new change, leading to chronic low-grade inflammation.

Low-grade inflammation over time has been found to destroy cells and tissues in the affected area or organ, inducing chronic inflammatory disease, including diabetes, arthritis, and cardiovascular disease.

Out of many low-grade inflammatory risk factors, some researchers suggested that the promotion of the Western diet over the past few decades may be one of the major culprits involved in facilitating the onset of the diseases.

Dr. Klurfeld DM, the lead scientist wrote, "Diet is a component in the etiology of the two major causes of death in the United States, namely, cardiovascular disease and cancer. During the last decade, various organizations have suggested that we alter the "typical" American diet in order to decrease the incidence of these diseases even though both diseases are indisputable of multiple etiology".

And, "Most Americans can safely reduce their intake of total calories, fat, sugar, and salt. Although this can be achieved most readily on a population basis by following a form of "prudent" diet, it is premature to promise medical benefits to individuals".

On finding a potent compound for enhancing immune functioning, researchers examined the effects of ashwagandha root extract consumption on the differentially modulated immune response on BALB/c mice.

The study included three selected Withania somnifera chemotypes designated as NMITLI 101R, NMITLI 118R, and NMITLI 128R administered 10-100 mg/kg orally to BALB/c mice once daily for 14 days.

According to the tested assays, all three selected Withania somnifera chemotypes exerted immunomodulatory consequences in the humoral immune response on delayed-type hypersensitivity reaction.

Furthermore, the applications also inhibited the proliferation of T and B cells, intracellular and secreted Th1 and Th2 cytokines along with modulation in ROS production.

Moreover, peritoneal macrophages associated with anti-inflammatory expression was also exhibited by the lower doses (3-30 mg/kg/day) of these three chemotypes injection.

Compared to other chemotypes, the NMITLI 101R has been found to be most effective in the expression of the aforementioned parameters in the immunomodulatory activity.

Based on the findings, researchers said, "it may, therefore, be concluded that there was distinct modulation in the immune response exhibited by the three chemotypes of Withania somnifera and NMITLI 101R appeared to possess a better immunostimulatory activity than the other chemotypes at lower doses.".

Taken altogether, Ashwagandha may be considered an immunomodulatory herb, pending to the result of larger sample size and multicenter study

Lycopene, the Anti-Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) Phytochemical

By Kyle J. Norton

Acid Reflux or heartburn is a condition characterized by the going back up of acidic stomach contents to the esophagus.

Most cases of acid reflux are happened immediately after eating causing a burning sensation or pain in the lower chest area.

According to the statistics, in the US, approximately, 20% of people with acid reflux will develop gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

More than 65% of people who suffer from acid reflux are 40 years old or older. And, 15 to 30 5 of the U.S. population has GERD.

There is no single cause of GERD. Epidemiologically, eating large meals or lying down right after a meal, snacking close to bedtime, smoking, being overweight or obese, overeating certain foods such as citrus, tomato, chocolate, mint, garlic, onions, or spicy or fatty foods are some prevalent factors associated with the risk of GERD.

Furthermore, long-term intake of certain medications such as bronchodilators for asthma, progestin for birth control or to treat abnormal menstrual bleeding, sedatives for insomnia and anxiety, calcium channel blockers for high blood pressure.

First-time pregnancy women may also experience GERD caused by increasing levels of hormones combined with pressure from the growing fetus.

Dr. P J Kahrilas and colleagues in examing the smoking risk associated with the onset of GERD wrote, "Studies were done to evaluate the lower oesophageal sphincter function of chronic smokers compared with non-smokers and to ascertain the acute effects of smoking on the sphincter and the occurrence of acid reflux".

And, "The mechanisms of acid reflux during cigarette smoking were mainly dependent upon the coexistence of diminished lower oesophageal sphincter pressure. Fewer than half of reflux events occurred by transient lower oesophageal sphincter relaxations. The majority of acid reflux occurred with coughing or deep inspiration during which abrupt increases in intra-abdominal pressure overpowered a feeble sphincter".

Therefore, if you currently a smoker, your risk GERD is substantially higher comapred to non-smokers.

On finding a potential compound for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), researchers examined the role of lycopene on experimental reflux esophagitis.

Selected rats included in the study groups of rats induced esophagitis treated by lycopene (50 and 100 mg/kg, po) and pantoprazole (30 mg/kg, po).

Based on the tested analysis, treatment with lycopene showed physiological protection when scrutinized for pH, acidity (total and free), the volume of gastric juices and esophagitis index.

Furthermore, lycopene also protected the esophagus tissue by inhibiting the expression of oxidative stress against lipid and protein peroxidation and enhancing the production of the enzymatic activity of SOD and catalase.

Moreover, levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines were also diminished observed in the lycopene treatment group.

The efficacy of lycopene in the protection of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) was dose-dependent.

Based on the findings, researchers said, "lycopene can impart momentous protection against experimental esophagitis by wrapping up the reactive oxygen species and through dual inhibition of the arachidonic acid pathway".

Taken altogether, lycopene found in tomato may be considered supplements for the prevention and treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), pending on the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Intake of lycopene in the form of supplement should be taken with extreme care to prevent overdose acute liver toxicity.

Healthy Food Turmeric Inhibits Idiopathic Orbital Inflammatory Pseudotumor with No Side Effects

By Kyle J. Norton

The calcifying orbital pseudotumor is a very rare disorder due to a chronic, idiopathic inflammatory process of the orbit.

Most common cases of idiopathic orbital inflammation were found in patients with sclerosing orbital pseudotumor, leading to decreased vision, proptosis, and restriction of extraocular muscles.

Some patients with the condition also experience painful orbital mass.

Women in the middle age are at most risk for the condition onset compared to men.

The exact cause of idiopathic orbital inflammatory pseudotumor is not identified. However,  infection and immune-mediated processes have been postulated by some researchers.

The Harvard Medical School study wrote, "Pathogenesis of idiopathic orbital inflammation remains elusive but several lines of evidence point to immune-mediated processes as the likely underlying ocular mechanism".

Conventionally, most cases of idiopathic orbital inflammation are treated by corticosteroids, particularly in patients in acute cases.

If treatment with steroids showed a failure, more diagnosed may be needed before methotrexate, cyclophosphamide, and other anti-neoplastic agents may be prescribed. In some cases, patients may also be treated with radiotherapy.

Turmeric is a perennial plant in the genus Curcuma, belonging to the family Zingiberaceae, native to tropical South Asia.

The herb has been used in traditional medicine as anti-oxidant, hypoglycemic, colorant, antiseptic, wound healing agent, and for the treatment of flatulence, bloating, and appetite loss, ulcers, eczema, inflammations, etc.

In the urgency to discover a potential compound for the treatment of orbital inflammatory pseudotumor, researchers examined the clinical efficacy of curcumin, the active constituent of rhizomes of Curcuma longa, in patients suffering from the disease.

According to the tested assays, at a dose of 375 mg/3 times/day, curcumin administered orally for a period of 6-22 months in eight patients and followed up for a period of 2 years at 3 monthly intervals.
* 4 patients recovered completely

* 1 patient showed swelling regressed completely.

* More importantly, patients experienced no side effect and no recurrence during and at the end of the study.

* However, injection of curcumin at the follow up showed some limitation of movement persisted.

In other words, curcumin is effective for the treatment of idiopathic orbital inflammatory pseudotumor but has a limit success in the improvement of the symptoms of movement.

Based on the finding, researchers at the K.G. Medical College, said, "curcumin could be used as a safe and effective drug in the treatment of idiopathic inflammatory orbital pseudotumors".

Similarly, the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in the examined the effects of curcumin in patients with idiopathic orbital inflammatory pseudotumor wrote, curcumin (diferuloylmethane), in the various formulations of curcumin, including nanoparticles, liposomal encapsulation, emulsions, capsules, tablets, and powder, are effective for the treatment of idiopathic orbital inflammatory pseudotumor though the inhibition of proinflammatory expression.

Taken altogether, turmeric may be considered supplements for the prevention and treatment of idiopathic orbital inflammatory pseudotumor, pending to the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Intake of curcumin in the form of supplement should be taken with extreme care to prevent overdose acute liver toxicity.

Cranberry, the Best in the Management of Obesity, Researchers Say

By Kyle J. Norton

Obesity is a chronic condition characterized by excess body fat that has accumulated over time. People with a BMI of over 30 is considered obese.

Similarly, overweight is a condition of excess body weight relative to height. People with a BMI ranged from 25 to 29.9 is considered overweight.

According to the statistics, over 30 % of the American population is obese. Obesity has been found to induce adverse effects nearly every system of the human body, leading to an increased risk of numerous diseases, including diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Furthermore, the rate of obesity in the US and Canada continues to climb at an alarming rate, leading to significant burdens to the country's economy and health care system.

Epidemiologically, most common symptoms of obesity are breathlessness, increased sweating, inability to cope with physical activity, feeling very tired every day, back and joint pains, low confidence, and self-esteem and feeling isolation

According to the CDC, the most common complications associated with obesity are coronary heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, cancer of breast, colon, endometrial, gallbladder, kidney, and liver and sleep apnea.

Currently, there is no effective treatment of the disease. However, some researchers suggested that combat the powerful environmental factors that influence eating and physical activity may be the best approach to reduce the risk of obesity.

Dr. EunSeok Cha, the lead scientist wrote, "Obesity among young adults is a growing problem in the United States and is related to unhealthy lifestyle habits such as high caloric intake and inadequate exercise. Accurate assessment of lifestyle habits across obesity stages is important for informing age-specific intervention strategies to prevent and reduce obesity progression".

And, "Overweight and obese young adults can promote their cardiometabolic health with healthy lifestyles. To take action, young adults need practical and strategic dietary advice about beverage choices, diet quality, and macronutrient and micronutrient sources. In addition, increasing overall activity and minimizing sedentary behavior needs to be emphasized for young adults to achieve physical activity goals.".

In other words, by changing to a healthy lifestyle such as healthy diet and moderate exercise, over a long-term obese is controllable.

Cranberry is an evergreen dwarf shrub, genus Vaccinium, belongings to the family Ericaceae, native to Northern America and Southern Asia. Because of its health benefits, cranberry has been cultivated in some parts of the world for commercial profit and used in traditional and herbal medicine to treat wounds, urinary disorders, diarrhea, diabetes, stomach ailments, and liver problems.

On finding a potential compound for the treatment of diseases associated with oxidative stress, researchers investigated the anti-adipogenic effect of the polyphenol-rich extract obtained from chokeberry Aronia melanocarpa (Michx.) Elliot, raspberry Rubus idaeus L., bilberry Vaccinium myrtillus L., and cranberry Vaccinium macrocarpon Aiton fruits.

According to the results from the analysis, the preparations ranged from 25-100 μg/mL not only significantly decreased lipid accumulation but also inhibited the expression of reactive oxygen species in the adipocytes without showing cytotoxicity.

The Real-time PCR analysis also revealed that the extract at a concentration of 100 μg/mL suppressed the process of cell differentiation of adipogenesis and lipogenesis that converts triglyceride for storage in fat via inhibiting the gene expression (PPARγ) of energy metabolism and genes associated with adipogenesis (C/EBPα) and lipogenesis (SREBP1).

In 3T3-L1 adipocytes, the expression of adiponectin involved in regulating glucose levels as well as fatty acid breakdown was increased by 4.4 fold whereas hormone leptin found in high levels of obese subjects was decreased by 90% by the extracts.

Based on the findings, researchers said, " the analyzed extract may be a promising source of bioactive compounds that support long-term weight maintenance and promote the effective management of obesity".

Taken altogether, cranberry combined with other herbal medicine may be considered a remedy for the management of obesity, pending to the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.
