#CruciferousVegetables Inhibit Pathways and Enzymes Associated with the Onset and Progression of Bladder Cancer, According to Studies

Kyle J. Norton

The bladder is a hollow elastic organ in the center of the lower abdomen that collects urine from the kidneys and excretes it through the urethra.
Bladder cancer is a medical condition characterized by irregular cell growth in the bladder tissue due to the alternation of DNA.

Most cases of primary bladder cancer start on the cells on the surface of the inner lining. However, after growing large enough, the cancerous cell can spread to other regions in the body through the circulation of fluids and blood.

According to the statistics. 90% of bladder cancer were diagnosed in people who are older than 55. and the average age of people diagnosed with bladder cancer is 73.

Every year, the disease causes over 17,000 deaths, and bladder cancer is the eighth most common cause of cancer death in men.

Bladder cancer is the most common type of cancer that affects men twice as frequently as it affects women.

Usually, it starts from the lining of the bladder and is caused by several types of malignant growths of the urinary bladder cells.
Although there are many risk factors associated with the onset of bladder cancer, long-term cigarette smoking use is considered a significant cause of the disease. Smokers are 4 to 7 times more likely to develop bladder cancer than nonsmokers.

However, most of the cigarette smoker has never developed bladder cancer.

In finding a potential plant that processes anti-cancer activity researchers evaluated the diets rich in cruciferous vegetables, particularly broccoli on bladder cancer risk.

In vitro studies, isothiocyanates, the major chemical compound of cruciferous vegetables inhibited bladder cancer cell lines, induced cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis.

Furthermore, isothiocyanates demonstrated many mechanisms of anticancer activity at the steps of cancer initiation, promotion, and progression.

Moreover, isothiocyanates induced cancer cell death by targeting multiple pathways including the adaptive stress response, phase I/II enzyme modulation, pro-growth, pro-survival, pro-inflammatory signaling, angiogenesis, and even epigenetic modulation, according to multiple in vivo studies.

Collectively, researchers said, "Overall, both cell and animal studies support a potential role for isothiocyanates in bladder cancer prevention and treatment. Future studies must examine clinically relevant outcomes and define guidelines on ameliorating the bladder cancer burden".

Taken together, collard green consists of isothiocyanates that may be considered a functional food for the prevention and treatment of bladder cancer pending the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

#Healthy Chinese Cabbage Inhibits Cancer cell Proliferation Through Its Immunomodulatory Activity., According to Studies

Kyle J. Norton

Cancers are the class of diseases caused by alteration of DNA that initiates healthy cells to grow disorderly and uncontrollably.
At the later stage, the cancerous cells may travel a distance away from the original site to infect healthy cells of other tissue and organs.

Cancers are the second leading cause of death worldwide besides heart diseases.

According to a statistic from the Canada Government, approximately 1 in 2 Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime, and 1 in 4 will die from the disease.

The most common types of cancer in Canada include lung, colorectal, breast, and prostate cancers. These 4 cancers account for half of all cancers diagnosed in Canada.

Believe it or not, 1/4 of cancer deaths are due to lung cancer.

Depending on the type of cancer, people with cancers may experience general and specific symptoms.

The American Cancer Society wrote, "Cancer may also cause symptoms like fever, extreme tiredness (fatigue), or weight loss. Because cancer cells use up much of the body’s energy supply, or they may release substances that change the way the body makes energy from food. Cancer can also cause the immune system to react in ways that produce these signs and symptoms" " Sometimes, cancer cells release substances into the bloodstream that cause symptoms that are not usually linked to cancer. For example, some cancers of the pancreas can release substances that cause blood clots in veins of the legs".

DNA alternation is the major cause of diseases.

Proliferation is a condition of rapid cell multiplication used by cancer cells to grow indefinitely.

Normal cycle multiplication has a limited cell cycle division before being replaced by the new cell.

In cancer cells, the cell cycle division is unlimited

In cancer, antiproliferative activity is a process to inhibits the growth of cancer cells

Cabbage is a species of Brassica oleracea belongings to the family Brassicaceae (or Cruciferae), native to the Mediterranean region along the seacoast. The veggie has a short stem with a crowded mass of leaves, usually green but in some varieties, it may be red or purplish.

In finding a natural whole food for the treatment of cancer, researchers examined the heterodimeric 13.8 kDa napkin-like polypeptide that has previously been isolated from Chinese cabbage (Brassica parachinensis) seed on leukemia (L1210) cells.

According to the tested analysis, the selected compound stimulated nitrite production by mouse peritoneal macrophages against the tested cells.

In other words, polypeptide blocks the cell cycle division activity by inhibiting cancer cell proliferation.

Furthermore, the tested compound also stimulated the immune macrophages to reduce the viability of leukemia (L1210) cells through its immunomodulatory activity.

More precisely, the heterodimeric 13.8 kDa napkin-like polypeptide processes a strong anti-cancer cell proliferative property.

Taken together, cabbage contains high levels of phytochemicals that process anticancer cell proliferative activities, pending the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

#Cruciferous Vegetables's SFN Processes Anti-Chemoresistance of Tumor Cells, According to Studies

Kyle J. Norton

Glioblastoma is one of the most aggressive cancers that begins within the brain.
According to statistics, most patients diagnosed with cancer die within 12 to 15 months. Less than 5% of patients are survived longer than five years.

If you are male you are at 1.5 higher risk of glioblastoma, compared to your female counterpart.

The causes of glioblastoma are unknown, some researchers suggested that genetic preposition and environmental factors, previous radiotherapy, and a weakened immune system may be some risk factors associated with the onset of the disease.

Most cases of GBM are diagnosed at an older age with a median age of 64.

Although the disease does not have some specific symptoms, it shares the common symptoms of other types of cancer such as gastrointestinal discomforts accompanied by personality changes, and symptoms similar to those of a stroke.

Most patients with GBM experience symptoms of brain swelling caused by the overexpression of the fluid surrounding the tumor.

Conventionally, due to the nature of rapid growth, surgery is necessary to relieve the brain pressure and remove the tumor as much as possible, followed by radiation and chemotherapy.

According to the statistics, in the US, the incidence affects mostly in the elderly with the diagnosed rate of 3.19 per 100,000 persons. The disease is rare in children.

GBM is deadly, patients with GBM have a median survival of less than one year and less than 2% of patients survive three years or more.

Cruciferous vegetables are a group of vegetables, belongings to the family Brassicaceae (also called Cruciferae) with many genera, species, and cultivated all over the world in suitable climate for commercial profits, including cauliflower, cabbage, kale, garden cress, bok choy, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and green leafy vegetables.

In finding potential and natural foods that process neuroprotective property, researchers investigated the protective effect of sulforaphane (SFN), an isothiocyanate (ITC) derived from cruciferous vegetables against glioblastoma (GBM) progression.

According to the tested analysis, the application of SFN in GBM showed to induce apoptosis and to inhibit both growth and invasion of GBM cells [78].

Furthermore, SFN can overcome the chemoresistance of tumor cells.

The efficacy of SFN against the progression of glioblastoma (GBM) was attributed to the phytochemicals that can cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB) to reach the tumor mass by inhibiting the functions of MMP-9 in GBM in mediating the BBB alternation.

Furthermore, SFN also demonstrated strong activity in the induction of cancer cell apoptosis and anti-cancer cell proliferation and the protection of healthy neurons.

Moreover, SFN also induces apoptosis of GBM cells by increasing ROS levels in the cancer cells and inhibiting cancer cell migration and/or invasion.

Combination with chemo drug, SFN improved the function of the drug and reduce the chemoresistance of GBM without conferring significant toxicity to normal cells.

Based on the findings, researchers said, " ...the results of these studies support further investigations using SFN in animal models of GBM.

Taken altogether, dietary cruciferous vegetables may be considered functional remedies for the prevention and treatment of GBM, pending to the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

#Healthyfood #Broccoli Decreases the mRNA Expression of Pro-Inflammatory Cytokines in the Induction of #Colitis, Researchers Suggest

Kyle J. Norton

The colon also is known as the large bowel or large intestine, formed parts of the digestive system in our body.
The colon consists of four parts: descending colon, ascending colon, transverse colon, and sigmoid colon.

The main functions of the colon are to reabsorb fluids and process waste products from the body and prepare for its elimination.

Colitis is medical a condition characterized by the inflammation of the large intestine, including the colon, caecum, and rectum.

Depending on the causes, colitis can be classified into microscopic colitis, ischemic colitis, segmental colitis associated with diverticula, radiation colitis, diversion colitis, eosinophilic colitis, and Behcet's colitis, particularly in those associated with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), such as ulcerative colitis (UC).

Conventionally, colitis caused by infection is treated by antibiotics. However, treatment of non-infection colitis focuses on symptom relief, supportive care, and maintaining adequate hydration and pain control.

The most common tools used for colitis diagnosis are X-rays of the colon, testing the stool for blood and pus, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy.

Types of colitis according to the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, include
microscopic colitis, ischemic colitis, segmental colitis associated with diverticula, radiation colitis, diversion colitis, eosinophilic colitis, and Behcet's colitis.

Epidemiologically, people with untreated colitis may experience complications of
* Congenital abnormalities
Women who are pregnant with Ulcerative colitis are associated with a significantly increased risk of some selected congenital abnormalities (limb deficiencies, obstructive urinary, and multiple congenital abnormalities) according to the birth outcomes in women with ulcerative colitis examined in nationwide.

* Nutritional deficiency
Malnutrition, particularly protein-energy malnutrition and vitamin and micronutrient deficiencies, as well as dysregulation of the intestinal microbiota, are common features of IBD.

Broccoli is a mustard/cabbage plant, belonging to the family Brassicaceae. The veggie has large flower heads, usually green in color with a mass of flower heads surrounded by leaves and evolved from a wild cabbage plant from the continent of Europe.

To find natural food for the prevention and treatment of colonic diseases, researchers compared the efficacy of lightly cooked broccoli (CB) containing greatly diminished myrosinase activity, with raw broccoli (RB), in mitigating colitis in dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-treated mice.

The study included male C57BL/6 mice that were fed for two weeks on a 10% RB, 10% CB, or control diet, all based on the AIN-93M diet with half (n = 9) of each group receiving drinking water, and the other half received 2.5% DSS in water for one week, starting from Day 7 of the diet.
According to the tested analysis,
* CB lessened the damage by DSS, evidenced by a decreased disease activity index comparable to those of RB.

* CB attenuated colon length shrinkage and lowered the endotoxin (lipopolysaccharide) leakage into the blood.

* CB also inhibited the severe colon lesions as assessed by histopathology.

* CB also decreased the mRNA expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines through broccoli's anti-inflammatory action by inhibiting the IL-6 trans-signaling pathway.

In other words, CB protects the integrity of the colon cells against the onset of colitis.

Taken together, broccoli may be considered functional food for the prevention and treatment of colitis, pending the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Intake of SFN in the form of supplements should be taken with extreme care to prevent overdose acute liver toxicity.

The #Cucumber's #Cucurbitacin B (CuB) Hyperglycemic Effect in Diabetics, Resaerchers Show

Kyle J. Norton

Hypoglycemia is abnormally high blood glucose levels in the bloodstream in diabetes.
Most cases of hyperglycemia are associated with poor management of blood sugar levels as a result of poor diet and poor practice of medicine intake and insulin injection.

Hyperglycemia is a hallmark of diabetes caused by the inability of the body to convert glucose to energy or make the hormone insulin.

The most common and early signs of hyperglycemia are increased thirst and/or hunger, frequent urination, sugar in your urine, and fatigue.

In severe cases, patients with hyperglycemia may also experience symptoms of headache and blurred vision.

Long-term untreated hyperglycemia may induce complications that affect the eyes, kidneys, nerves, and heart.

In severe cases, hyperglycemia can also lead to serious complications that require emergency care, such as a diabetic coma.

Women who are nondiabetics before pregnancy and experience gestation hyperglycemia are likely to develop diabetes in the latter days.

Believe it or not, hyperglycemia can also occur in people without diabetes due to stress. According to the study, people who are nondiabetics and experience abnormally high blood glucose are most likely to develop diabetes later in life.

According to the statistics, In 2015, approximately 30.3 million Americans, or 9.4% of the population, had diabetes. Approximately 1.25 million American children and adults have type 1 diabetes.

Some researchers suggested that by changing lifestyle with moderate exercise, hyperglycemia can be manageable in type II diabetes.

Dr. Salwa W. Rizkalla wrote, " Only 4 weeks of a (low GI diet) LGI diet was able to improve glycemic control, glucose utilization, some lipid profiles, and the capacity for fibrinolysis in type 2 diabetes. Even if changes in glycemic control were modest during the 4 weeks, the use of an LGI diet in a longer-term manner might play an important role in the treatment and prevention of diabetes and related disorders"

The cucumber plant is a species of Cucumis Sativus, belonging to the family Cucurbitaceae and native to Western Asia. It is a creeping vine with roots in the ground and grows with the support of frames.

To find a natural ingredient for the prevention of hyperglycemia in patients with diabetes, researchers examined the effect of Cucurbitacin B (CuB) isolated from cucumber-induced hypoglycemic effect in an animal model.

On mice-induced diabetes, administration of Cucurbitacin B (CuB) composed of triterpenoid structure stimulated the AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) pathway which has been found to contribute to the correction of insulin resistance overexpression in hyperglycemia.

CuB also ameliorated hyperglycemia not only by activating intestinal AMPK levels but also by inducing the production of plasma GLP-1 associated with the improvement of insulin-releasing by pancreatic β-cells.

However, GLP-1 mimetic medicines although exert a similar effect compared to that of natural GLP-1, induce clinical side effects, such as autoimmune hepatitis, acute kidney injury, pancreatitis, and pancreatic cancer.

Interestingly, the efficacy of the hypoglycemic activity of CuB decreased significantly in dorsomorphin- (a selective inhibitor of the BMP pathway involved in the expression of cytokines) injected mice and α-gustducin null mice.

In differentiated NCI-H716 cell line, CuB inhibited hyperglycemia involved in the activation of AMPK through α-gustducin and Gβγ-signaling of taste receptors in signaling secretion of incretin hormones such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1).

Taste receptors are found in several organs including the tongue to colon and have diverse functions dependent on specific cell types.

In enteroendocrine L cells, stimulated taste receptor signaling plays a critical role in inducing incretin hormones, including GLP-1.

Based on the findings, researchers said, "CuB represents novel hypoglycemic agents by activation of AMPK and stimulation of GLP-1 in differentiated enteroendocrine L-cells".

Taken together, cucumber-processed high levels of CuB may be used for the treatment of hyperglycemia in diabetics, pending the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Intake of CuB in the form of supplements should be taken with extreme care to prevent overdose acute liver toxicity.

#Ginger Inhibits Stress Markers Associated with the Risk and Onset of Type 2 #Diabetes, Scientists Say

Kyle J. Norton

Ginger may be next generation whole food used for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes, with no side effects, some scientists suggested.

Type 2 diabetes is a medical condition characterized by insufficient insulin entering the bloodstream to regulate the glucose due to either cell in pancreas dying off or receptor sites clogged up by fat and cholesterol.

Researchers do not know what causes the pancreas to die off or receptor sites to clog up. However, they do know obesity or overweight, gender, ethnicity, age, family history, gestation diabetes, are associated with an increased risk of type 2 diabetes.

Some researchers also suggested that people with certain medical conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome. and high blood pressure is more prone to the onset of the disease.

The most common symptoms of type 2 diabetes are increased thirst that won't stop with water intake, increased hunger (especially after eating), dry mouth, frequent urination, and unintentional weight loss.

If you experience some of the symptoms above, please make you check with your doctor to rule out the possibility of diabetes.

According to statistics, diabetes is one of the most common diseases in the US. Approximately 10% or 29.1 million people in the United States have diabetes, accompanied by 8.1 million that are undiagnosed and unaware of their condition.

About 1.4 million new cases of diabetes are diagnosed in the United States every year. More than one in every 10 adults who are 20 years or older has diabetes.

Dr. Rita R. Kalyani in the study to examine the increase with age and risk of type 2 diabetes wrote, "The unprecedented aging of the world's population is a major contributor to the diabetes epidemic, and older adults represent one of the fastest-growing segments of the diabetes population".

"Almost one-third of U.S. adults over the age of 65 years have diabetes. Approximately half of those are undiagnosed, and an additional one-third of older adults have prediabetes" and "management of older adults with diabetes is clearly more complicated given the observation that they commonly have multiple coexisting medical conditions that can impact clinical management".

Compared to the general population risk of type 2 diabetes, the results clearly stated, the risk of type diabetes in elderly is 3 fold higher and the management of the disease is more difficult due accompanied by other medical conditions, such as high blood pressure and cholesterol

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) or ginger root, the second superfood used for thousands of years by mankind, is the genus Zingiber, belonging to the family Zingiberaceae, native to Tamil.

The root has been used in traditional and Chinese medicine to treat dyspepsia, gastroparesis, constipation, edema, difficult urination, colic, etc.

To find a natural whole food for the prevention and treatment of diabetes with little or no side effects, researchers looked into the effects of ginger consumption on glycemic status, lipid profile, and some inflammatory markers in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

The double-blinded, placebo-controlled clinical trial, included 70 types 2 diabetic patients allocated randomly into the ginger group consumed 1600 mg of ginger, and the control group consumed 1600 mg of wheat flour daily for 12 weeks.

Patients treated with ginger demonstrated a significant effect in reducing the levels of fasting plasma glucose, 3 months average glucose concentration, and insulin resistance.

Furthermore, the blood profile of the treatment group also displayed lower levels of triglyceride, total cholesterol, a hormone associated with lipid peroxidation. compared to the placebo group.

There were no significant differences in high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein LDL, and TNFα, the inflammatory cytokine between the two groups.

The findings firmly indicated ginger improves insulin sensitivity and some fractions of lipid profiles and reduces inflammation in type 2 diabetic patients.

Additionally, intending to reaffirm the effects of ginger against the development of type 2 diabetes and diabetic complications, researchers investigated the effect of ginger supplementation on glycemic indices in Iranian patients with type 2 diabetes.

The double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized clinical trial included 20-60 -year-old patients with type 2 diabetes who did not receive insulin.

Participants in the intervention and control groups received 3 g of powdered ginger or placebo (lactose) (in capsules) daily for 3 months.

At the end of the 3 months, researchers showed that all parameters associated with diabetes were reduced substantially in the treatment group compared to control.

More precisely, the differences between the ginger and placebo groups were statistically significant as follows: serum glucose (-19.41 ± 18.83 vs. 1.63 ± 4.28 mg/dL, p < 0.001), (Hemoglobin A1C)HbA1c percentage (-0.77 ± 0.88 vs. 0.02 ± 0.16%, p < 0.001), insulin (-1.46 ± 1.7 vs. 0.09 ± 0.34 μIU/mL, p < 0.001), insulin resistance (-16.38 ± 19.2 vs. 0.68 ± 2.7, p < 0.001), high-sensitive CRP (-2.78 ± 4.07 vs. 0.2 ± 0.77 mg/L, p < 0.001), paraoxonase-1 (PON-1) (22.04 ± 24.53 vs. 1.71 ± 2.72 U/L, p < 0.006), total antioxidant capacity (TAC) (0.78 ± 0.71 vs. -0.04 ± 0.29 µIU/mL, p < 0.01) and MDA (-0.85 ± 1.08 vs. 0.06 ± 0.08 µmol/L, p < 0.001) were significantly different.

Where paraoxonase ((PON)-1 is an enzyme associated with the protection against lipid oxidation, Malondialdehyde (MDA) is an oxidative stress marker.

Dr. Shidfar F, the lead scientist said, "The 3 months supplementation of ginger improved glycemic indices, TAC, and PON-1 activity in patients with type 2 diabetes".

Taken together, ginger may be considered a functional food for the prevention and combined with the primary therapy for the treatment of type 2 diabetes with no side effects.

#Healthyfood #Tomato Inhibits the Risk and #Onset of Digestive-Tract Cancer, Researchers Show

Kyle J. Norton

Digestive-tract formed part of the digestive system is a series of hollow organs joined in a long, twisting tube from the mouth to the anus and plays a critical role to absorb the nutrient from the food intake to the blood before passing them to other parts of the body.
Cancers are a class of diseases characterized by irregular cell growth in the body tissue.

Most cases of digestive tract cancer start in the cell on the surface of the inner lining of the gastrointestinal tissue before penetrating into deeper layers and colonizing the entire organ.

Colon cancer is one of the most common and slow-growing cancers in the digestive tract that

According to the statistics provided by the American Cancer Society, in 2019, 95,520 people will be diagnosed with colon cancer. Colon cancer will also cause the death of 50,260 patients in the same year.

The 5 years survival rate of colon cancer diagnosed at the localized stage is 90%.

The most common signs of digestive tract cancer include abdominal pain, blood in the stool due to bleeding, and a noticeable lump in the abdomen accompanied by the general symptoms shared with other types of cancer such as unexplained weight loss, weakness or fatigue gastrointestinal discomfort, and loss of appetite.

If you have experienced some of the aforementioned symptoms with no signs of stopping, please make sure you check with your doctor to rule out the possibility.

WHO in the examination of diet in cancer risk wrote, "Cancer is the most important cause of death after diseases of the circulatory system. It accounts for 20% of all deaths in the Region, with 2.5 million new cases diagnosed each year".

And, "A large body of literature indicates that as much as 30% of all cancer cases are linked to poor dietary habits, and is therefore preventable. The proportion reaches 70% for cancers of the gastrointestinal tract".

In other words, poor diet is one of the major causes of gastrointestinal cancer worldwide.

Tomato is a red, edible fruit, genus Solanum, belonging to the family Solanaceae, native to South America. Because of its health benefits, the tomato is grown worldwide for the commercial purpose
and often in the greenhouse.

In the urgency to find a potential compound for the treatment of digestive tract cancer, researchers examined the relationship between tomato intake and the risk of digestive tract cancer.

According to the data from a series of case-control studies conducted in Italy between 1983 and 1992, over the period, 317 incident cases of cancer of the oral cavity and pharynx, 85 of the esophagus, 723 of the stomach, 955 of the colon, and 629 of the rectum, were diagnosed compared to a total of 2879 controls admitted for acute, non-neoplastic conditions, unrelated to long-term modifications of diet.

The ORs for the highest tomato consumption quartile were 0.65 (95% CI 0.4-1.0) for oral cavity, pharynx, and esophagus, 0.43 (95% CI 0.3-0.6) for stomach, 0.39 (95% CI 0.3-0.5) for colon, and 0.42 (95% CI 0.3-0.6) for rectum.

The ORs of colorectal cancer for the highest consumption quintile were 0.79 (95% CI 0.6-0.9) for colon and 0.71 (95% CI 0.5-0.9) for rectal cancer, according to another study of colorectal cancer, based on 1,953 cases and 4,154 controls, conducted between 1992 and 1996, using a more detailed food frequency questionnaire.

The findings strongly suggested that a long-term high amount of tomato consumption has a strong impact on the risk of digestive tract cancer, regardless of several potential confounding factors, including measures of body mass index, calorie intake, and physical activity.

Furthermore, to examine the additional information about tomato anti-digestive-tract cancers, researchers investigated the effect of tomatoes on the risk of digestive tract tumors based on an integrated series of case-control studies conducted between 1985 and 1991 in northern Italy, where tomato intake is high but, also, heterogeneous.

For 7 years, the oral cavity and pharynx, 314; the esophagus, 85; stomach, 723; colon, 955; and rectum, 629 were diagnosed compared to a total of 2,879 controls admitted to the hospital for acute non-neoplastic or non-digestive conditions, unrelated to long-term dietary modifications.

The OR of digestive tract cancers in the upper quartile was ranging between 0.4 and 0.7 compared to the baseline.

Researchers after allowance for age, sex, study center, education, smoking, drinking level, and tertile of total caloric intake into account said, "The beneficial effect of raw tomatoes in this population may be partly since they constitute perhaps the most specific feature of the Mediterranean diet".

And, " However, if it is true that tomatoes protect against digestive tract cancers, this is of interest from both a scientific and a public health viewpoint".

Taken together, tomatoes may be considered supplements for the prevention and treatment of digestive tract cancers, pending the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.
