Bromelain may have a strong effect in enhancing the chemo drug effect for the treatment of cancer, according to studies.

These results suggested that bromelain may be combined with conventional chemo drug to enhance the anti-cancer effect and reduce the adverse effect of chemotherapy in cancer patients.

Taken altogether, bromelain may be considered supplements for the enhancement of chemotherapy, and reduction of side effects, pending to the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.
