Food Therapy: Eggplant and Its Glycoalkaloids in Reduced Risk and Treatment of Bone Cancer

Kyle J. Norton

Eggplant may have a positive and substantial effect in reduced risk and treatment of bone cancer, some scientists suggested.

Eggplant is a species of S. melongena with deeply purple color, belongings to the family Solanaceae and native to India, cultivated in southern and eastern Asia since prehistory.

Bone cancer is medical condition characterized by irregular cell growth in the issues of colon At the later stage, the cancerous cell may invade other healthy tissues and organs a distance away drom the original site.

According to statistic, early stage of bone cancer diagnosis of  5-year survival rate are approximately 85%.

Eggplant with abundant Glycoalkaloids, the nitrogen-containing secondary plant metabolites may be considered as a biomaker in determination of the state of severity of bone cancer and antioxidants through its derivatives (α-solamargine and α-solasonine in induction of bone cancer cell apoptosis according to Dr. Friedman M. in the article of "Chemistry and anticarcinogenic mechanisms of glycoalkaloids produced by eggplants, potatoes, and tomatoes".

In the evaluation of the effect of solamargine, a steroidal glycoalkaloid against human osteosarcoma
U2OS cells, researchers at the Shandong University showed that application of solamargine exerted a substantially reduced cell viability and induced apoptosis in osteosarcoma U2OS cells through over expression of mRNA and protein expressions of p53 in regulated the cell cycle in involvement of tumor suppression and Bax in expression of a pro-apoptotic regulators involved in a wide variety of cellular activities and activated apoptosis and reduced expression of Bcl-2 with function against cell apoptosis.

Further analysis also indicated that solamargine induced apoptotic and suppressible activity against osteosarcoma U2OS cell line was attributed to increase mitochondrial translocation of p53, induction of cell death through modulated loss of mitochondrial membrane of cancer cells and cytochrome c release during early stage of apoptosis.

Most importantly, green tea also activated the expression of caspase-9 which plays a central role of in apoptosis signal transduction, a cascade of biochemical reactions inside the cell in ignition of cell death and the regulation of cancer cell apoptosis and caspase -3, a caspase protein that interacts with  caspase-9 and dependent on mitochondrial cytochrome c release in initiation of anti cell profileration and tumor cell invasion.

Additional differentiation of the effect of p53, researchers found that although P53 may have a profound and positive inhibition of the tested cancer line, but its function also was reduced due to the presence of pifithrin-α, and mitochondrial translocation inhibitor pifithrin-μ, in inhibition of function of p53-mediated apoptosis, in prevented p53 binding to Bcl-xL and Bcl-2 at the mitochondria ..., thus partially reversing the anti proliferative activity of solamargine.

Dr. Li X1, the lead scientist said, "(the results finding, indicated that) Solamargine activates the mitochondria-mediated apoptotic pathway in U2OS cells via both p53 transcription-dependent and -independent mechanisms".

Taking altogether, Eggplant with abundant glycoalkaloids derivative solamargine may be considered as a function food for ameliorated risk and used  as adjunct therapy with standard medicine for treatment of bone cancer.

Alternative Therapy: Yoga In Reduced Symptoms and Treatment of Menstrual Disorder Psychologically and Physically

Kyle J. Norton

Yoga participation may have a substantial and sustainable effect in reduced symptoms and treatment of menstrual disorder, some scientists postulated.

Menstrual disorder is condition caused by psychological and physical problems affected the normal menstrual cycle with symptoms of pain, heavy or light bleeding....

Yoga, the ancient technique for harmonized external and internal body well beings, through breath control, meditation, bodily movement and gesture..... has been best known for people in Western world and some parts in Asia due to health benefits reported by various respectable institutes' research and supported by health advocates.

In the study of total of 150 female patients with menstrual irregularities recruited from the department of obstetrics and gynecology, C.S.M. Medical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India and randomly divided into two groups: 1) group of 75 subjects (with yogic intervention) and 2) a control group of 75 subjects (without yogic intervention), after considering of other risk factors, researchers showed that yoga group experiences significantly lower anxiety and depression score in compared to control and at six months followed up, yoga group also demonstrated positive wellbeings with vitality improved significantly in compared to control

Dr. Rani K, the led author said, "patients with menstrual irregularities having psychological problems improved significantly in the areas of their wellbeing, anxiety and depression by learning and applying a program based on Yogic intervention (Yoga Nidra)".

Although all women are experience differently with regards to menstruation, depending to the severity of hormone imbalance, some women may experience low energy, extreme pain, mood swings, fatigue, bloating, irritability and so on.

In deed, yoga relaxation and meditation connected and harmonized the mental mind and  physical body by  bring back the presence and dealing them the positive ways or letting go those unfavorable events, thus decreasing the psychological and physical stress and improving general health.

In ameliorated stress implication on the mental mind, yoga practice restored the central nervous system in balancing hormone production which has been found to have a direct influence in controlled each stage of menstrual cycle.

The above differentiation are truly expressed in the study of total number of 100 women recruited from the department of obstetrics and gynecology randomly allocated into two groups: a) intervention received yogic intervention and medication for 6 month, and b) control group received no yogic intervention and they only received prescribed medication), researchers after taking into account of other co founders suggested that yoga intervention expressed a substantial improvement mean score in the aspects of anxiety, depression, positive well-being, general health, and vitality scores, particularly in hormonal levels and there were significantly different in intervention group as compared with pretest.

Dr. Khushbu Rani, the led author said, "Yoga Nidra can be a successful therapy to overcome the psychiatric morbidity associated with menstrual irregularities".

In support the efficacy of yoga intervention in improved the psychological effect in risk of menstrual disorder, Dr. Khushbu Rani and colleagues conducted a study involved same above yoga and control groups indicated that yoga group displayed significant improvement of physical expressions, including pain symptoms, gastrointestinal symptoms, cardiovascular symptoms and urogenital symptoms after 6 months of Yoga Nidra therapy in Intervention group in comparison to control group and yoga therapy are safe and less expensive in compared to standard treatment.

In  physical expressions, yoga decreased menstrual pain  through reduced over production of hormones with strong implication in inducing uterus muscle constriction such as prostaglandins.

Through the relaxation of the central nervous system, yoga mindfulness also reduced the cardio symptoms such as a feeling of tightness, heaviness, numbness, burning, or pressure by increasing the vessel dilation and blood flow to the heart by inhibited the hormone adrenaline in production of norepinephrine and epinephrine caused by stress.

Yoga mindfulness connected and balanced the mind and body also reduced tension of central nervous system through ameliorated stress  by bring back the natural reaction of human body in providing more blood to the digestive system when needed, thus alleviating gastrointestinal symptoms, such as constipation, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting,....

In urogenital symptoms, yoga reduced levels cortisol induced by stress in modulated concentration and secretion of  testosterone, which plays an important role in immune function in reduced risk of inflammation and elevation of plasma levels of adrenalin also induced by stress in suppressed the immune system and increased levels of serotonin in decreased killing ability of natural killer (NK) cells.

Taking altogether, Yoga therapy may be used as an adjunct to conventional drug therapy for menstrual dysfunction.

Food Therapy: Eggplant in Ameliorated Risk and Treatment of Lung Cancer

Kyle J. Norton

Eggplant may have a potential and substantial effect in reduced risk and treatment of lung cancer, some scientists suggested.

Eggplant is a species of S. melongena with deeply purple color, belongings to the family Solanaceae and native to India, cultivated in southern and eastern Asia since prehistory.

Lung cancer is medical condition characterized by irregular cell growth in the issues of lung At the later stage, the cancerous cell may invade other healthy tissues and organs a distance away from the original site.

According to statistic, approximately 28,600 Canadians will be diagnosed with lung cancer represented 14% of all new cancer cases in 2017.

In the investigation of the eggplant bioactive phytochemical glycoalkaloids activity and risk of various types of malignant tumors, Dr. Friedman M found that derivatives of glycoalkaloids, α-solamargine and α-solasonine demonstrated a strong inhibited effect in the growth of the lung and other cancer cells in culture (in vitro) as well as tumor growth in vivo, involved some unknown signalling pathways.

More specifically, the investigation of solasodine, a naturally occurring aglycone of glycoalkaloid in eggplant (Solanum melongena) in human lung cancer cell line A549 showed that solasodine displays a significant effect in ameliorated cancer cell viability and initiated cell apoptosis through attenuating expression of mRNA level of matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2), MMP-9 which were found to be elevated in patients with lung cancer in compared to healthy subjects and extracellular inducer of matrix metalloproteinase (EMMPRIN), a cell surface glycoprotein which plays an important role in stimulated the production of several matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs).

Further differentiation, also indicated that the inhibitory property of solasodine by increased the expression of reversion-inducing cysteine-rich protein with kazal motifs (RECK) not only reduces risk of RECK accelerated cancer cell proliferation but also exhibits initiation of irreversible growth cycle arrest through short hairpin of mRNA in suppression of the RECK gene.

Additionally, injection of solasodine promoted cancer cells death was also associated to the over expression of tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1), a glycoprotein found in several tissues of organisms with function in involved in degradation of the extracellular matrix as mention above and TIMP-2, a member of the TIMP gene family with function as a metastasis suppressor.

According to the immunoblotting assays, administration of solasodine is very effective in suppressing PI3K /Akt phosphorylation of lung cancer cell of in induction of cell proliferation.

PI3K /Akt phosphorylation plays critical roles in the regulation of many cellular processes including cell cycle, growth, apoptosis and signal transduction pathways.

Alterations in phosphorylation pathways result in serious outcomes in the form of diseases, especially cancer.

Finally, solasodine decreased expression of microRNA-21 which has been found to be higher in more advanced malignancies, in initiated early entry phase of cancer developing by stimulated production of  RECK in accelerated cancer cell proliferation, thus decreasing risk of cell invasion.

After taking into account of all con founders, Dr. Shen KH, the lead author said, "the findings demonstrate an attractive therapeutic potential for solasodine in lung cancer anti-metastatic therapy".

Taken together, eggplant with abundant phytochemicals may be considered as a functional food for attenuated risk and used combination with standard medicine for treatment of lung cancer.

Herbal Therapy: Green Tea and Its Bioactive Polyphenol in Reduced Risk and Treatment of All Forms of Acne

Kyle J. Norton

Green tea may have a therapeutic and positive effect in prevention and treatment of acne, some scientists suggested.

Green tea, is a precious drink with numbers of health benefit known to almost everyone in Asia and Western world.

Acne is a condition of skin diseases characterized by the occurrence of inflamed or infected sebaceous glands in the skin.

In the examined the effects of EGCG, the bioactive major polyphenol of green tea on human SEB-1 sebocytes with function in secreted sebum in patients with acne, researchers found that EGCG exerted a significant antioxidant activity in reduced sebum secretion by modulating the AMPK -SREBP-1 signaling pathway through AMPK expression in stimulated EGCG effect in regulated the interaction of  phosphorylates sterol regulatory element binding proteins SREBP-1.

Application of green tea EGCG also demonstrated a strong effect in reduced sebum in induction of inflammation of sebaceous glands by suppressing the NF-κB in induced transcription of proinflammatory genes in cellular response to stress and pathogens and AP-1 pathway, a transcription factor with function in regulated gene expression of inflammation factors in response to a variety of stimuli, including bacterial and viral infections.

Furthermore, administration of EGCG also found to have a huge effect in targeting almost all the pathogenic features of acne through exhibited a significant cytotoxicity of SEB-1 sebocytes in induction of viability of P. acnes,

Dr. Yoon JY, the lead author at the Seoul National University Hospital, after taking into account of all findings said, " EGCG significantly improved acne in an 8-week randomized, split-face, clinical trial, and was well tolerated".

Amazingly, the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial conducted from May 2012 through October 2013.of a total of 64 of 80 women, from 25 to 45 years of age with moderate-to-severe acne randomly assigned to receive either 1500 mg of decaffeinated GTE or placebo (cellulose) daily for 4 weeks indicated that there were statistically significant differences in inflammatory lesion counts found on the nose, periorally and on the chin between the two groups but no significant differences of total lesion counts.

Within group, green tea application displayed significant reductions in inflammatory lesions distributed on the forehead and cheek with no difference in total lesion counts.

Moreover, green tea group also resulted in significant reduction of total cholesterol levels in compared to cellulose group.

However, due to limitation of the small sample and short time period, researchers postulated that more research is required to determine whether a decaffeinated GTE standardized for EGCG content will provide clinical benefits in women with post-adolescent acne.

Additionally, in selected 59 studies with eight met the inclusion criteria to evaluate the effect of tea polyphenols in reduced sebum production in the skin and for treatment of acne vulgaris by reviewing  the literature published on PubMed, researchers suggested that application of tea polyphenols topically may have a beneficial effect in reducing sebum secretion and in treatment of acne through inhibited lipid synthesis by the sebaceous glands.

Truly, according to the University of Miami, in the examine 12 patients with mild-to-moderate acne vulgaris received green tea application twice daily for a period of 6 weeks, topical injection of 2% green tea lotion was found to be effective in treatment with statistically significant in mean total lesion count (TLC) decreased from 24 measured at the baseline to 10 after 6 weeks treatment, a reduction of 58.33%.

The mean severity index (SI) from all patients also decreased from 2.05 before treatment to 1.25 after 6 weeks treatment, a decrease of 39.02%.

Dr. Elsaie ML, the lead scientists said, "Topical 2% green tea lotion is an effective, cost-effective treatment for mild-to-moderate acne vulgaris".

Taking altogether, green tea and its bioactive major polyphenol may be used safely in reduced risk, progression and treatment of all form of acne pending to a large sample size and multi centers clinical trial. Oral administration of green tea should be taken with exceptional care as some cases of acute liver toxicity were reported literaturally.

Alternative Therapy: Yoga in Modulation of Immune Response

Kyle J. Norton

Yoga may be considered as a home base exercise in improved immune response against foreign substances invasion according to online public medical studies.

Yoga, the ancient technique for harmonized external and internal body well beings, through breath control, meditation, bodily movement and gesture..... has been best known for people in Western world and some parts in Asia due to health benefits reported by various respectable institutes' research and supported by health advocates.

According to the study by Dr. Arora S and colleagues, yoga practice regularly may reduce risk of stress influenced in immune expression through deactivation of many connected mechanisms, including  reduced alterations in the number of immune cells and cytokine dysregulation.

Yoga therapy has been found to reduce the psychological and physiological effects of stress in cancers and HIV infection.

In deed, yoga intervention improved the immune lymphocytes (T cells) in cell-cell interaction and the release of mediators such as antibodies (in the case of B cells), cytotoxic granules (cytotoxic T cells) or by signaling to other cells of the immune system in inhibited antigen.

Immune dysfunction caused by long term stress has been found to have strong implications in reduced immune response to foreign substances invasion, including vaccines, delayed wound healing and improper reaction to infectious diseases.

In further demonstration of yoga effect in increased immune response, the Lady Hardinge Medical College carried out a study included sixty first-year MBBS students randomly assigned to yoga group and control group (30 each), with yoga group underwent integrated yoga practices for 35 minutes daily in the presence of trained yoga teacher for 12 weeks and control group did not undergo any kind of yoga practice or stress management, after taking into account of other co founder, demonstrated that
* There was no significant difference observed in physiological parameters during the examination stress, in compared to a significantly increased stress in control
* Indicator of expressed assay also found higher stress in the control than those in yoga group
* Hormone status also showed the increased serum cortical and decreased serum IFN-γ in yoga group was less significant (P<0.01) than in the control group.
* Yoga displayed a lesser inflammatory status in compared to control

Dr. Gopal A, the led author said, "Yoga resists the autonomic changes and impairment of cellular immunity seen in examination stress".

Truly, Yoga participation in exertion of ameliorated stress on immune system was found to be mediated by a complex network of signallings involving various aspects including nervous, endocrine, and immune systems through expression and interaction of neurotransmitters, neuropeptides, hormones, and cytokines, according to Dr. Sarika Arora and Jayashree Bhattacharjee.

The endocrine-immune system network including adrenal and pituitary glands secreted hormone binding to receptors of white blood cell in response to expression of the release of cytokines in the acute phase and chronic inflammation and these hormones and cytokine concentration are alternated in patients with prolonged stress.

These results according to some yoga instructors were attributed to the effect of yoga relaxation and meditation in stimulated production of a steroid hormone called glucocorticoids (GCs) which has been found to enhance the immune systems and prevented immune abnormal activity.

Some researchers suggested that such change(hormones and cytokine concentration are alternated in patients with prolonged stress.) subsequently induced immune dysfunction, leading to abnormal sleep pattern and  behavioral changes such as a reduction in activity, social interaction, sexual activity and psychological expression of increased responsiveness to pain, anorexia, and depressed mood.

Further to support the effects of yoga intervention in improved immune response, researchers at the joint study led by the Healthcare Global, conducted a study of 91 patients with metastatic breast cancer satisfied selection criteria, randomly assigned to receive "integrated yoga based stress reduction program" (n = 45) or standard "education and supportive therapy sessions" (n = 46) over a 3 month period, showed that
* Participants expressed a strong improvement of symptom distress, sleep parameters and quality of sleep and insomnia .
* Yoga lesson also decreased in morning waking cortisol in compared to standard group
* Yoga group displayed a significant improvement in NK cell percent

Taking altogether, the finding evidences suggested that yoga intervention may have a positive and profound effect in improved immune response when come under attacks by foreign substances invasion, including virus and bacteria.

Herbal Therapy: Herbal Anise In Attenuated Risk, Progression and Treatment of Neuro degenerative Disease

Kyle J. Norton

Anise may have a potential and substantial effect in reduced risk and progression and treatment of neuro-degenerative disease, some scientists suggested.

Anise
is a flowering plant ofthe species of Pimpinella anisum, genus Pimpinella, belongings to the family Apiaceae native to to Egypt and the Mediterranean region, used in traditional herbal medicine as fragrance in soaps, oils, and mouth fresheners and stomachic, anti-septic, anti-spasmodic, ....

Chemical comstituents
Anethole, D-pinene, I-phellandrene, Alpha-terpineol, Safrol, Methyl chavicol, Resin, Shikimic acid, etc.

Neurodegenerative disease is the progressive condition characterized by loss of structure or function of neurons, including death of neurons leading to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and Huntington's disease

According to statistic as of today 5 million Americans suffer from Alzheimer'sdisease; 1 million from Parkinson's; 400,000 from multiple sclerosis (MS); 30,000 from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease), and 30,000 from Huntington's disease. By 2030, the disease is estimate to increase substantial as many as 1 in 5 American elder over the age of 65

According to the vivo and in vitro experimental models, application of essential oil isolated from anise expressed a significantly neuro protective effect in seizure attacks induced by pentylenetetrazol (PTZ) injection and neuronal hypoxia induced by oxygen withdrawal as well as on production of dark neurons and induction of long-term potentiation (LTP).

Further examine, researchers found that injection of Anise oil significantly prolonged the period between seizure attacks by inhibited the production of dark neurons activated by depolarization, glutamate release caused by toxicity of pentylenetetrazol (PTZ) to induce neuron collapsed in different regions of the brain in epileptic rats and reduced the amplitude and duration of epileptiform burst discharges due to neuron abnormal excitability induced by injection of intraperitoneal PTZ

Moreover, application of Anise essential oil also significantly enhanced the duration of the appearance of anoxic terminal negativity in the CA1 region of hippocampal slices in initiated neuro protective effect through direct stabilization of the cell membrane after acute onset of hypoxia and ischemia caused by oxygen withdrawal and inhibited induction of LTP.

Dr. Karimzadeh F, the lead author, after taking into account of other con founders said, "the anticonvulsant and neuroprotective effects of anise oil, likely via inhibition of synaptic plasticity".

Additionally, the investigate the Pimpinella anisum (Anise) on the physiological and neurological parameter on normal and diabetic rats induced by Streptozetocin (STZ), by assigning rats randomly to eight groups: 1P stP control group and received citrate buffer, 2P ndP diabetic group treated with STZ (50mg/kg. b. wt), 3P rdP BPA group treated with BPA (30mg/kgbwt), 4P thP Anise group treated with anise oil. (3g/kgb. wt),5P thP STZ + BPA group combination between STZ and BPA with the same dose, 6P thP group treated with (STZ+Anise), 7P thP group treated with (STZ + Anise + BPA) and 8P thP group received Anise and BPA indicated that rat group treated with Anise (STZ + Anise) and diabetic rats treated with (Anise + BPA) exerted a significant decrease the levels of Norepinephrine(NE) in stimulated stress, mood, restlessness and anxiety disorders caused by oxidative stress.

Interestingly, rat group treated with Anise alone or combined with other substances also reduced the levels of dopamine (DA) and the 5-HT in induction of neuro toxicity in comparison with vehicle and diabetic (STZ) group.

These result suggested that treatment of Anise decreases neurotoxic effect induced by (BPA), particularly, in application of BPA increased substantial toxicity in diabetes in compared to control.

Further to support the efficacy of essential oil of Pimpinella anisum in protection against neuro degenerative disease,  researchers at the Saida University conducted an experiment to test the anxiolytic and antidepressant effects of the essential oil against chronic lead acetate (0.2%) intoxication during the gestation and lactation period, in Wistar rat pups, the results suggested that injection of toxic chemical induced impairments of brain weight and increased psychological parameters of the level of anxiety, depression and locomotor hyperactivity in compared to control rats were inhibited by administration of Anise essential oil without causing effect of brain weight

Taken together, Anise essential oil may be considered as an adjunct therapy to reduced risk and used combination with conventional standard medicine in attenuated progression and treatment of neuro degenerative disease.

Alternative Therapy: Yoga Intervention in Reduced Risk of Preterm Labor

Kyle J. Norton (Scholar, All right reserved)

Researchers may have found a home base exercise tailored to the need of women in prevented risk of preterm labor, according to the online public medical library studies.

Yoga, the ancient practice for harmonized external and internal body wellbeing, through breath control, meditation, bodily movement and gesture..... has been best known for people in Western world and some parts in Asia due to health benefits reported by various respectable institutes' research and supported by health advocates.

Preterm labor is the preterm birth of any infant before 37 weeks of pregnancy.

In the review of literature to evaluate the peripartum outcomes of yoga during pregnancy, including the postpartum period and lactation by searching PubMed database online, scientists found that
* The nonrandomized trials indicated yoga intervention showed a significant reduction in rates of preterm labor
* Randomized control trials (RCTs) indicated that yoga therapy during pregnancy can significantly lower pain and discomfort.

In deed, yoga mindfulness practice relaxed and connected the mind and body by bringing back the presence of natural state of motherhood of protection of the babe with love and care in induction of healthy eating and letting go or dealing the unfavorable events which caused stress in the positive ways, thus reducing pain and discomfort during pregnancy.

The reduction of stress, the natural state of motherhood and healthy eating improved the digestive function in in absorption of nutrients and oxygen and enhanced the circulatory system in moving more blood to the abdomen to feed the health and normal growth of the baby.

Further analysis of the stress reduction also discovered that yoga intervention ameliorated risk of intrauterine and uterus infection which have been considered as some physical causes of preterm birth, by significantly increased immune function in protection against bacterial and viral invasion passing through the vagina and the cervix, the amniotic cavity and the fetus.

Moreover, yoga induced immune activities also protected the baby during the acute phase of infection by regulating production of anti inflammatory mytokines and pro inflammatory cytokines in ameliorated symptoms of inflammation.

Additionally, in the relaxation of the central nervous system through reducing stress, yoga also promoted hormone balancing in decrease over production of certain hormones such as prostaglandins in stimulated production of nitric oxide in initiated uterus muscle contraction in contributed embryonic and fetal expulsion.

Interestingly, in the examine the implication of oxidative stress in risk of preterm birth induced by damage to intrauterine tissues and fetal membranes of the placenta. some researchers suggested that yoga intervention reduced stress also have a profound effect in inhibited nervous system sympathetically in production of hormone catecholamines to induce cytotoxic free radicals formation through induction of over production for antioxidants from healthy food sources and natural antiooxidant from the body.

Truly, antioxidants levels of total glutathione (GSH) contents, GSH-peroxidase, and GSH-s-transferase were found higher and oxidative stress marker Malondialdehyde (MDA) was significant lower in women participating yoga lesson in compared non yoga women.

Finally, in the support of the above differentiation, a study of 335 women attending the antenatal clinic at Gunasheela Surgical and Maternity Hospital in Bangalore, India, enrolled between 18 and 20 weeks of pregnancy in a prospective, matched, observational study; 169 women in the yoga group and 166 women in the control group also indicated that
*Yoga group expressed a higher number of babies with birth weight > or = 2500 grams in compared to control group.
*The relative risk ratio of preterm labor in yoga intervention group also substantially lower in compared to control.
*Yoga therapy is safe with no significantly adverse effect

The study also confirmed that yoga practice not only is safe but also reduces risk of preterm labor and improved birth weight, pregnant discomforts and reduced risk of complications.

Taking altogether, there is no doubt that yoga intervention during pregnancy may have a profound effect in reduced risk of preterm labor, particularly, in high risk women with unfavorable family history.
